Jabari Smith haters in hiding?

Idk what people were tweeting, but there was a ton of hating during SL on here

I really didn't recall too much trolling hate for Jabari.. I mean sure thre was people that preferred another player ( I'm guilty) , but it seems even the trollish of trolls didn't have too much to say after seeing him in summer league.. The true unbearable trolls this year will be the posters hoping for haters that were never really hating to begin with..

 

There were no charges for him or his sister who actually hit the woman. We have at least 4 retired jerseys in the Rockets rafters with a poor anger management history and other character issues. Look, if you want to be the moral police and perpetually judge young men for issues they've grown past maybe the Rockets aren't pure enough for you to support. Try following the Jazz.

He looked improved since summer league
His defensive impact translated immediately
and his handle aint as terrible as people made it out to be

Not exactly a fan of how twitter/internet makes everything into two opposed camps that are constantly trying to own each other.

 

He looked a lot more upright dribbling the ball than he was in summer league and in college. That was my observation anyway. I will wait for @jiggyfly to confirm for me?

He had a nice cross over in the ?2nd Q.
Doesn't over dribble, not a dribble driver yet, but you can see a small amount of progress there.

 

I know some were critical of his SL play, but…was anyone actual critical of the pick when it happened? Was there some huge Ivey contingent I missed? People died in the Mobley-Green war on this site.

FWIW I listened to the podcast and there is not a lot of pwning of the jabari smith haters - probably because there arent' that many.

 

i agree. he's got that swag, that cockiness that you want in a star. he's the kinda guy that players rally around. does his work on the floor and then talks, backs it up.

 

Looks to be a great pick, but if this a thread for constructive criticism, I'd like to see him get to the free throw line.

I don't think I was a hater but I was definitely sold on Paolo.

I'm sold on Jabari. That pull-up 3 was wet.

 

I feel like folks like Jabari Smith initially that was the consensus b4 we got the third pick. Folks got depressed and started hyping up Paolo since no one believe Smith would drop to us as a coping mechanism.

Folks start buying into and hyping Paolo even more/Smith slander to convince other folks int liking Paolo

We drafted Smith. Those that were so invested in Paolo ends up hating/nit picking Smith.


I don't really think there were as many real haters for Smith, just folks who hype themselves to cope when drafting Paolo. Green on the otherhand, we still have Mobley mob fans.

 

Bunch of clowns. Giving up on a 19 year old after a couple summer league games playing with people that won't even be in the league.
