Fandom is emotional.... but Jabari was objectively not good. It's hard to tell what's him and what's the overall team, but it wasn't good. We don't have anything else to go by and 8th seems pretty reasonable.

LOL, well, at least you came up with an opinion on your own....it's pretty hilariously incompetent, but at least you did it!

KPJ was technically in his 3rd season before he logged that many career minutes or career starts....and even with getting jerked around like that, he never put up negative win shares like Ivey did.

I know, I know, your kneejerk response is something like "REEEEEE KPJ MAN BAD!!!" or whatever, and that's basically what this was.

I'm pretty sure deep down even you know your response was dumb.

    At least you tried.

I don't get this kind of redraft. Do they redraft according to how they perform in their rookie season, or do they redraft according to their potential so far?

    Per article:

"....Here, I’m going to redraft the top 20 based on how I would rate them now. It’s worth noting, in all caps, THIS IS NOT A RANKING BASED ONLY ON HOW THEY PERFORMED AS ROOKIES. Rather, it’s a ranking based on where I’d rate them on how they performed this year, how some of the holes in their game translate toward being patched up and how they figure to grow and mature. This is a future-based ranking using past samples as data, including this year as the most important sample, but also previous data that I’ve collected over years of scouting them, as well as placing a premium on positional value...."

    Ok superman.

You know I could tell you the earth was flat and your arrogant A$$ would come up with a way to argue it.

And TBH, I can easily just say, name one GM, coach, team or fan, despite you and a few here, that would take the Head case over him.

Better yet, name one GM that would take him over Bari. Just one.

Then ranking Chet no 3 sounds even dumber then lol.

At least with Jabari you can use comparisons like Al Horford or JJJ. But with Chet breaking his leg on a non contact injury and being thin AF you can't ignore his comparison to Greg Oden.

Yes, much like your other foolish, ignorant takes, I'd argue against it if you told me that you thought the world was flat....

    Ahh you got me.

    Obviously I miss spoke there.

Look you argue with 95% of this board and you ALWAYS think you're right. And what's hilarious is I'm sure as you read this you probably thought to yourself, "Well I am always right."

You still never answered my question...

Name one GM that would take Porter over Henderson OR Bari. Name one. You know you can't. None would now and for damn sure if it was the same player Porter was when drafted. Even without the head case ish, he would not have been picked over either of those dudes.

I just argue when people say stupid things... you know like flat earth types such as yourself.

Also it's very odd that you seem obsessed with appeals to authority and appeals to popularity as if they aren't fallacies. I mean, I get it, sort of.... you don't have any thoughts of your own so you need to latch on to what others think. You have to admit though that someone like you isn't going to be the most convincing.

To spell it out for you though, what a theoretical GM would do is irrelevant... it's not like

    1. You actually know what every GM would do

    2. That GM's haven't made hilariously foolish decisions before.

What theoretically 95% of this board thinks is irrelevant for the same reasons.

I know it's asking a lot of someone like you, but in future try to make an actual case based on something substantive rather than fallacious claims if you want to talk with the grown ups.

Your response, entertaining as it is, speaks for itself. You answered my question without actually answering it.

    Move along.

    So, potential.

They think Sochan and Sharpe will have a better future than Murray, Smith, Kessler, and Mathurin. That's all I want to know about this article.

If they’re going to call something a “redraft,” then I would assume they are trying to strike a difference versus all-rookie team(s) type rankings.

So, a redraft simply means what would you do if all the rookies were drafted again…that’s all. Pretty simple difference vs all-rookie rankings. So, makes sense that Chet would definitely still be high, but yeah, plenty to argue with.

Based on some stuff Vecenie said on Twitter, sounds like he's fine with all these various opinions for the most part. I don't think he believes this is all set in stone, and outside of a few obvious picks, it is probably really hard to rank these guys fairly. Plus I also get the sense this is just a clickbaitey article for the most part, and it achieved it's goal of getting attention from fans (not sure if that's on Vecenie or higher ups at Athletic...based on his podcast, I'd lean towards the latter?).

On the Chet thing, I'm probably just a hater now that he's not a Rocket (and I hate on all non-Rockets), but I feel like you'd have to be pretty concerned with his health. Even ignoring his frame and whatnot, I feel like a lisfranc injury in general could be quite catastrophic. Yeah he's young, got the best care, best rehab, etc. Probably a good chance he recovers fully. But it does sound like there's a non-zero chance that he'll always have some (significant?) weakness in his foot, which I'd imagine could impact the way he plays. Adding on muscle/more weight seems like something that could be problematic too (but what do I know?). I saw some OKC article highlight Udonis Haslem as an example of how Chet could move past this without any issues, but I kinda saw that as an example of how bad the injury could be (Udonis was getting older anyway, but his minutes/production seemed to take a dive after the injury).

Knowing Rockets luck, Chet will become the GOAT and win 5-10 championships, knocking out the Rockets in the playoffs almost every year.

This company would be so much more valuable if it didn't look like a sports bra. Need a Nike collab or something.

I'll give him another year under Udoka. If not he's going the ways of Andrew Wiggins. Elite role player ceiling.
