congrats to the rookies all Jabari needs to do is get that 3 point percentage to at least 37% on volume and continue to add strength…I still have a lot of faith in his jump shot his game off the dribble slowly improved as the year went on, and I expect to see continued improvement as we move forward Tari at the rim might as well be playing blindfolded…his rim finishing and overall BBIQ are his 2 biggest issues, but he projects to be a pretty nice role player…him shooting 34% from 3 as a rookie surprised me even if it came on very low volume
Honestly didn't expect either to make it based off projections I saw on twitter but glad they did. Well deserved. Love that Tari got two 1st team votes
If Jabari played all season like he did after the all-star break he would've made 1st team. Still not a bad result though given he was one of the youngest rookies.
Just to underline Jabari's youth a bit: The only guy who made 1st team that's even close to Jabari's age is Banchero, and he was still 6 months older. All the other guys are like a year or more older. Murray, for example, is a guy we could've chosen to pick over Jabari, given he went right afterward. But he's nearly three years older than Jabari and was taken as a safe, high-floor immediate contributor, not as an upside play.
Congrats to Bari and Tari! Hope both now have chip on their shoulder and practice HARD on their weak points this offseason and come back much, much improved. See Tari has the 2nd most 1st place votes on the second team. BUT he still BARELY beat out A. Nembhard (by 1 point) for the last spot on the second team too.Would have been criminal if he had missed it! Was looking down the list and saw THE OTHER J. Williams from OKC got a 1st place vote and thought to myself "that MUST have been Presti voting"! But then I realized it was probably actually some voter that got his two J. Williams on OKC mixed up and voted for the WRONG ONE! lol And if he had gotten it right then JALEN Williams would have tied Paolo as unanimous 1st team selections! lol
Made All-NBA 2nd team #3 pick ..... Jabari Smith Rockets!!! #17 pick ... Tari Eason Rockets!!! Didn't make All-NBA 1st OR 2nd team #7 pick ..... Shaedon Sharpe Blazers #10 pick ... Johnny Davis Wizards Go Rockets!!! ....... ....... .......
No team was ever going to draft Walker Kessler in the top 10 lol. He was regularly mocked outside the top 20. He's played well but he is very offensively limited and just decent, not great at switching onto perimeter players. Jabari will have the better career in the long term.
Picked 3rd after being told he was 1st pick and now on the 2nd Team for All-Rookie!?? I hope Udoka can channel all that frustration in the right direction next year.
You absolutely do not have to switch everything. Like there is a 4 Out and 1 In and there is a 5 Out. Kessler is the constant.
