well, yeah - they were all once on pace to go to canton... until david ****ing carr ruined their careers. did you know he also advised shelley long to leave cheers? it's true. and when alec baldwin asked him if he should reprise his role as jake ryan in patriot games, carr was the one who said, "and pass up the chance to make the shadow?! are you crazy?!?!?!!" other careers carr has ruined: david lee roth; the kanecki guy from taxi; brad lidge; sadaam hussein; tom delay; KITT from knight rider... my fingers are starting to hurt....
i know this thread is 5 pages long, but that doesn't exactly prove me wrong. i said i wonder how many people's career carr has ended or almost ended. just wondering. no way to prove that either way. and anyway, didn't billy miller just lead the saints in receiving saturday? so that's 2 players on your list leading their winning teams in receiving this week of the 4 in next weekends conference championship games.
meant to say i know this thread is 5 pages long, so i didnt know if you were responding to me directly
billy miller's performance is actually a knock against the previous regime, who buried him after a productive first year and a half before eventually releasing him. i've always maintained - for years - the lack of a TE KILLED carr more than anything else. all the great QBs had good-to-great TEs almost universally, but it became a foreign concept here in houston. and i NEVER understood why miller fell so far out of favor here. oh, wait - of course, it was david carr...
imagine what andre johnson could do if we had a better qb..........hopefully he is not......because if i were him i would blow this coup as soon as my contract was up! half a decade and still not much progress.....i am beginning to think this rests on one man, california carr. we had a new offensive scheme and what did we end up doing? more of the same because he has no pocket presence ...leading to sacks.....and has very poor field vision. he has most of the athletic attributes you want but....he seems to have no leadership skills (vince has em) when sage was in there (when given the opportunity to throw) he looked better, the guys on the field seemed to respond to him better. GET RID OF CARR if you dont do this i am not even waisting my time watching this year!
you know, speaking of which, i have a bone to pick with you, sir... you and i seem to stand on the same side of the fence on a lot of these topics. and yet, i'm constantly in there, taking grenades, dodging shrapnel... and you stand on the sidelines, probably playing motorboat with kitty cat, or some such. and i've had just about enough of fighting this war alone, my friend (who i've never met - wait... didn't we meet years ago in dallas for yao ming's first-ever game??????). so what give, france? why is my uniform all torn to **** and yours is pristine and oh so pretty?
LOL. Come on..you know I have your back too, for the most part. I've just chosen to recuse myself from any and all Vince Young arguments.
i thought so... wizards? humperdinks? bone daddys? all i know is that i got TOTALLY drunk that night. wait a second - did we..... you know.....? cause, i gotta tell ya, i thought about it; i remember that.... i really, truly did....... so, you still in dall-ass? yeah, good point - my apologies - you're just as big a dick as RM95 - there? feel better?
Ric, Ive got your back too...its just that you say everything I'd want to say, except you are much better at it. So, I can either stand on the sidelines...or chime in with, "Yeah, what Ric said...". Im cool doing either one.
Gaffney is what he is. He's a slot/3rd down guy like Bobby engram and ricky proehl. I just expected more from the 1st pick in the 2nd rd especially with some quality players there.
