devil's advocate: Ja has never been seen shooting a gun. he's just holding a gun. are we overreacting? ja def dumb for doing this im just asking a question.
He was holding a gun, not shooting someone. How is that a big deal? We really are living in a soft ass generation.
No… floating the idea of overreaction is respectfully incomprehensible. They just got booted from the playoffs with him admitting he hurt the team like two weeks ago. He is a role model like it or not. I wouldnt try to excuse him. The NBA should hit him with 82 games.
Barkley once said he's not a role model. Ja is not these kid's step father. i do want to say that i agree this is dumb from Ja. im just saying.
he’s a star, he’ll get many chances in the grand scheme of things, waving a gun around on IG isn’t that big of a deal…this is America after all, guns are normal many players have done much worse it’s just dumb AF for him because he’s squandering millions in endorsements and lowering his reputation, and he just finished getting in trouble for doing the same thing
Barkley did say that and was wrong. It is what makes me admire Lebron so much. He has never had a misstep. You get paid that much, you need to be loyal to your employer/city/brand. He has been out of playoffs for two weeks.
So, first, he's an idiot for doing this. However, if he did not have a previous history of doing dumb fake thug stuff this wouldn't be so bad. At the end of the day, there's nothing illegal about having a gun in your own vehicle.
I am sure Ja had a conversation with the league about guns. If he agreed to not flash guns, then suspend him.
“As a result, the Memphis Grizzlies announce they will fold the franchise before bringing Dillon Brooks (free agent) back and the NBA has announced they have banned Brooks for life. The earliest he can apply for reinstatement is 2033.”
. Ja needs to recognize that only white republicans are entitled to celebrate their 2nd Amendment rights.
I believe brandishing a weapon in a public setting (roads, clubs) is a crime in Texas. This isn’t about second amendment rights, I’m sure their are many lawful gun owners in the NBA It’s about first team all idiocy.
Has nothing to do with 2A, I’m as pro 2A as it gets. He’s been suspended for illegal transportation, admitted it was wrong and hurt his team. Then right after elimination he’s flaunting a pistol while in a moving vehicle. It’s irresponsible at best. At worst he’s trying to be something he isn’t, to the point where he’s either going to be killed or out of the league. Ja is a private school, well off kid that grew up in a nice neighborhood with a two parent household. He ain’t the guy he’s pretending to be, and whether he likes it or not, there’s a standard you have to bear when you have the position in life he does. I have no issue with him owning as many guns as he wants. Be responsible and read the room.
When it comes to being an immature headcase, Ja actually is what certain player first or player only fans wish KPJ was.
