Ja needs to chill the F out, wake up and realize what is at stake, tighten his circle, and make life changes. However, flashing a gun at a strip club is hardly the worst thing. Doing it is stupid. Putting it on instagram live is outright moronic, but now we have people comparing him to Aaron Hernandez? I mean wtf. Dude clearly needs to get his **** together though.
I think these assessments are more about him beating up a teen and rolling up with nine dudes to threaten a mall worker and security. It's not just one situation where he acted bad.
I get that, those incidents were just a bit more clouded about exactly what happened though. If any one of them were taken in isolation it would be easier to write off, but he's making it hard to cast doubt at this point.
Come on man - don’t be gullible. Kobe’s lawyers intentionally(but claimed accidentally) doxxed the woman(before docking was a thing) and a million crazy lakers fans went after her so she dropped the case after all the death threats. There was no justice there - it was highly unethically and those smart people around Kobe were Nike brand management. Don’t believe the revisionist history on Kobe. He was a miserable player with few friends in the NBA until MUCH later in his career. Everything else you heard about Kobe was branding BS. Go back and read articles people wrote about Kobe and interviews with his peers while he was in his 20s…read Phil Jackson’s book, etc - Kobe’s only friend on those Shaq teams was Derick Fisher. He didn’t really have a crew like Ja - he was a loner because he spent more of his time living in Europe where his Dad played so he didn’t have much in common with most 90s players. That’s why his first good friends later in his career were Euro guys like Gasol. it’s literally all documented on the web. Ask most NBA people who lived through that era and they will tell you the same.
I know Plaxico did time in jail for his weapons charges back in late 2000s, but it's really refreshing to hear a mature grown man openly speak about his similar experiences and probably his thought process as he sat in prison for his gun charges
