Most if not all of these players takeout sizable insurance to protect themselves financially from major injuries, and they are just as likely to get injured playing pick up basketball or training.

    "Great News nothing TORN!"

That's a recent tweet from him. Hopefully he can be back in action as soon as possible.

Which players have had a spell playing in China and came back to have a decent NBA career?

    Chris Andersen?

For sure Wilson Chandler will have a decent NBA career after his CBA's stint.

Wilson Chandler will come back with constant foot problems and have to endure foot surgery every year. The GM will be forced to keep him by the owner, because of all the Chinese marketing deals. He will retire. American fans will blame China for his injury issues and China will blame Americans for not giving him enough rest.

I doubt he was coming back to the NBA anyway.

After the "injury" JR played 30 min yesterday and had 15 points, which is considered so-so statistics for an import. In fact, JR had scored 7 points less in 2 games than Wilson Chandler in 1 game. Out of all the 10+ players in China who played in NBA last season only Wilson Chandler looked like a true superstar in China (Cartier Martin and Yi were good as well, but it's still early.)

Kenyon Martin debuts in a few hours.

Well players under contract playing in international leagues should strengthen the players position. One or two key injuries starts the owners sweating out the possibility of injuries to players they still have under contract. You telling me the Clippers wouldn't be little more willing to deal if Blake Griffin were playing in Europe or Asia right now? ... Okay maybe not the Clippers since they make no sense, but you get my point.

If you watch the video, the injury isn't serious. He was able to walk off the court. If it was a serious knee injury, he wouldn't be able to walk. But he's fine, he just sat on the bench after the injury. So yeah, its a minor injury so he's fine
