Looks like Andre Johnson made All-Pro 2nd team.

    Awesome comeback year for AJ.

JJ was the only unanimous defensive player. A good indication that he is a lock for DPOY?

Even before this, he should've been a lock for DPOY. If he doesn't win I honestly think it would be one of the greatest snubs ever, (I am a Texans fan, but I do honestly believe that.) His only competition is I guess Von Miller.

    Von Miller

68 total tackles, 18.5 Sacks, 6 Forced Fumbles, 1 INT, and 6 Pass Deflections

    JJ SWatt

    81 Total tackles, 20.5 Sacks, 4 Forced Fumbles, 0 Int's, and 16 Pass Deflections

IMO it's not even really close....

If you have the best DE and LT in the game on your team, you probably get to the Superbowl more often than not.

I wholeheartedly agree, but I learned a long time ago to never underestimate the media's love for stories. I have a fear that on top of snubbing JJ for MVP(which he deserves), they will go even farther to reward Peyton's historic season( really its not, but the media seems to heap extra merit on to it because he was injured last year), by handing his teammate the DPOY.

The Niners have 6 first teamers and 4 2nd teamers. The Seahawks have 4 first teamers and the Broncos have 3. The Vikings, Ravens, and Bears have 2.

You normally see at least several teams with 2 or more players on the first team. As such, there are a lot of possibilities where a team with the 2 best players at randomly selected positions don't reach the super bowl.

There's a reason I selected LT and DE as my criteria and not "any given position".

We sent him to Baltimore on purpose to get Manning out of the way in the playoffs.

JJ Watt deserves the MVP, no question about it. It's a damn shame that the MVP is an award for only offensive players in practice.

I think we STILL underappreciate what he did this season. JJ Watt put together the greatest individual defensive season in the history of the NFL (according to both advanced and individual metrics). What he did this year was amazing.

JJ Watt would win defensive player of the year in arguably any year in history. This year isn't even close. People are stupid but they won't f$&k this up. He's a lock.

It is frustrating that his season is not getting more attention. If someone posts the GREATEST season EVER of defense, it deserves more than just consideration for DPOY.

    Technically, wrong thread.

Discussion only for ALL PRO players... who gives a damn about "pro bowl" players?
