I know he can shoot, but I'm mainly asking if he'll be of use defensively against them. just a quick glance shows that he had a defensive rating of 112 last season and he allowed players to shoot 3.4% above their season average from the field when he was defending them Can he hold his own on switches against them? They won't be able to help off of him defensively which should help our offense.
I love watching J.J play so would be ecstatic to see him play for Houston. If anyone can figure this out it is Morey.

He's not a better shooter than Eric Gordon lmao stop. I mean don't get me wrong he's good but not on Eric Gordon's level. For majority of the season last year Gordon led the league in 3pt made and he did it off the bench. Tell me how Redick ever did that.
Indiana isn't gonna take Ryno's contract, let's be realistic. Morey could include Gordon in a S&T for Paul Millsap. With CP3 here, we're always gonna have a creator on the floor so Gordon's role as another creator on the team not named Harden isn't as necessary. Reddick could be Ego's replacement as our 6th man.
He'd have to take a deal starting at like 10 mill per, we'd likely have to send the Clips a couple of 2new to do the S&T. If we can find a way to S&T for both Milsap and Reddick by just dealing Anderson and the NG contracts I'd j*zz.
CP3 and Reddick are very tight. He was on Reddick's podcast like a year ago, and they seemed to be pretty close. CP3 was calling him some nickname, I can't remember what it was tho. He was saying how it was funny that they used to hate each other in college and early in their NBA careers, but now they're like brothers.

I certainly agree with you. There's just not enough minutes to go around w/ CP in the mix now unless you plan on playing Harden at the 3 more. If JJ was 6'7, 6'8 I'd be so down. What we need are big wings that can also shoot. Again, I'm not totally against it but I just feel like our money can be spent more wisely elsewhere.
