I liked Pitch Black...I wouldn't say that it was great by any means or iconic. Whoever said that should be smacked a few times.
Interesting. I've always hated the human subplots of monster movies. I watch Godzilla to see him smash stuff and kick ass, not to see if the little guys on the ground can accomplish their goals. Not sure if I'll be able to stomach a monster movie comprised mostly of a bunch of yuppies running around with a camcorder.
This movie was awesome. The camera angle was used effectively and wasn't as bad as some made it out to be. Spoiler So were they bombing Manhatten at the end and they died? Also, didn't the others get bit in the tunnel like the girl who ended up exploding?
Spoiler Yeah, I'm pretty sure the tunnel collapsed in the end because of the bombing. I forget what the military guys called it. They had a name for the operation that the dude warned them about earlier. And I don't think anyone else got bitten but Marlene. One of them had grabbed HUD and was trying to drag him away when Marlene saved him...getting bit herself. But I think she was the only one that got bitten.
