When TMo is activated we need to send Collier to IL. I don't think they'll activate Tito or Mickeal unless someone goes down like TMo did. Collier would probably come back first.

MT comes back late next week. Hawkins and Boki will see less time then. That's not a bad thing.

Rice is probably going to see action Tuesday. That gives us EG, KT, Rice, and Boki at the forwards. I think Hawkins will get some time at the 2 and some at the 3. It'll be interesting if they put him on Lewis...

I absolutely have fallen in love with Hawkins. The guy plays the way the game is supposed to be played and...forgive me if this sounds strange...I think he may be the key to us having a successful season. Hear me out.

Hawkins does everything right. He moves well without the ball, he moves well with the ball, he HUSTLES everytime no matter what and he makes the right passes at the right times. It's exactly a player like this that is going to have to prove to Francis and Mobley, through his actions, that he DOES in fact have trustworthy teammates and ones will not only get the ball back to you, but get it to you in a BETTER position to score.) Hawkins had 4 assists last night, which was just one less than Francis, the team leader in the category. If he can string a few games together where he makes the right passes and we win big, like last night, I am thinking that Francis and Mobley will come to the realization that involving other teamates really does help the team out in the long run. You could even see the effects of it last night. Everyone was passing a little more. Francis still only got 5 assists but I counted at least 3 assists that were blown for various reasons (missed open jumper, got fouled on an open layup and didn't get a bucket, etc).

Keep up the good work, J-Hawk.

Yup. :) I am shocked that no one else noticed him. He had some great defensive stands on Carter in the first quarter.

I am really excited about this guy as well. Remember when he hit the critical 3 against the Nuggets, the bench went wild. That is a good sign. I really hated to lose Brown and Torres, but Hawkins seems like a perfect fit.

Hawkins really can play defense and do the dirty work, but he can also shoot. Keeping him was definitely a good choice. We didn't need anymore scorers and that's why Torres and Brown were cut. He's our next Mario Elie.

I like him too, but he's going to be deep on the bench when the starters come back.

Yeah, I too have fallen in love with Hawkins. I went into the season with visions of Yao, Steve, Cat, Boki, Griff, etc doing their thing, but here came this guy from training camp that got all my attention. I went to yesterdays game and was somewhat suprised that he started. I was also a little suprised that he was on Carter as well. I saw him fight through many, many screens and he always hustled. And Carter didn't do well with him on him, either. His shot isn't great, but he's not terrible. He knows his role as well. I didn't see him dribble a lot, or shoot from 22 ft like the report said. He always gave the ball up and went on.

I was a little disappointed to hear he's 29. I barely learned that. But that doesn't matter too much.

He doesn't play like a 29 year old.
One thing that I never got was that people here had visions of Boki coming in and becoming a starter. He was the 15 pick. People acted like he was the 1st pick. Hawkins should start a bunch of games at the 3.

Hawkin's is great, I love the dude, and aren't the Rocket's alwasys finding gems in the dirt? some of the past players that played on the rockets, mario elie, chucky brown, emanual davis, moochie norris, ed recasner, sam mack, pete chilcut the Rockets have done a lot with the CBA and/or what ever farm league that's out there. Hey if we ever fire Rudy as a head coach (I hope we don't) can we still bring him back as a scout :) .

Yeah, I found that out as well. That is why I was kind of shocked to hear he WAS 29. He seemed like a regular rookie at the 22-26 age range.

Although it probably won't matter, I was just worried that he may begin to regress in 5 years, or so. If we keep him that long, that is.

This guy has a fantastic attitude and his hustle defense and willingness to take a charge at the right time have to be applauded...

The only thing is... do we have to call him J-Hawk? :(

The whole JWill, Tmac, CWebb, MoT, Tmo thing is really old.

He will need a good nickname, and Hawk was already taken a long time ago.
