codell!! I haven't said hi to you since I've been back. I'm glad to hear you're expecting - I didn't even know that. And that's a heck of a job on that bedroom. Good to see you again, and good luck with the baby...heck, you might even be at the hospital right now. Hope everything goes alright.
We bought them at this placed called "USA Baby". Its over at the corner of 1960/Kuykendahl. You could probably find something similar at Hobby Lobby, Garden Ridge or Michael's too. They were about $3-$4 each. Not cheap. I think we paid about $40 for all 9 letters. Dallas, Keep your fingers crossed bud. He is going to be a big one!
Is USA Baby cheaper than Babies R Us? We went in there one day and they don't sell many things cheap.
I wouldn't say they are cheaper. USA Baby is primarily a furniture type place. No clothes there at all. But their prices on furniture, car seats, etc. were comparable to Babies R Us. I can tell you from my experience the past 3 months, that nothing you buy for a baby is cheap. Want a decent/safe car seat?? Start at $200. Stroller?? Ours wasn't even top of the line and it was $250. Even simple things like a swing and bassonet were about $100 each. That furniture we bought was, total, about $2,000 (crib, changing table, night stand and dresser) and that was some of the cheaper stuff they had.
codell - I don't browse the Hangout as often as most so I miss some of the more advanced aspects of internet inspired friendships...but "Congratulations" on the new addition! Had I known you were that busy doing life's truly important things, I'd have never arm wrestled with you so much about the ISO's...
codell - nice work! I always admire people who have a talent for doing home improvement...since I was born with "two left hands", so I am really bad at that. Your baby will have a nice room!
