exactly, so why should we have a top 50 of all time list and have bob cousy on there when there is a decent chance he doesn't even crack a 10 man rotation in today's NBA??

Literally of the top 50 all time list there are 6-7 point guards on that list and bob cousy is one.

Bob Cousy again wouldn't crack my top 15 point guards today, so why should be he be in the top 6-7 all time just bc he dominated an ERA of nobody's?

I think Bill Russell in the 90's would've been a Deke type player and not much more. Deke in the mid 90s is not a top 50 all time player

Bill Walton is another you can take off the list of greatest NBA players. If you only look at his professional accomplishments and not his college career then he is someone that is easy to remove. Yes he won a championship in 77 and was the league MVP in 78, but those were his only all star years. Unfortunately an injured foot kept him from maintaining his dominate form.

Here are some others that will likely be considered to be bumped from the list for some modern players with more credentials (Kobe, Lebron, Garnett, Nash, Dirk, Duncan)

    Parish
    Cousy
    Worthy
    Bing
    Greer
    Sam Jones
    Unseld

Why must we take out someone from the top 50 list? Why not simply add 25 more players for the future 75th anniversary of the NBA?

    Gary Payton
    Allen Iverson
    Tim Duncan
    Kevin Garnett
    Jason Kidd
    Steve Nash
    Dirk Nowtizki
    Kobe Bryant
    Tracy McGrady
    Dwyane Wade
    Chris Paul
    LeBron James
    Derrick Rose
    Dwight Howard
    Kevin Durant

Boom, 15 names right there. We've still got several more years to go.

That pick was more of what he did to revolutionize the game. He was the first player to have those type of dribbling and passing skills. The game is a lot faster than it was back then, but Cousy does deserve to be on the list for his contributions.
