You do realize that you have to own a players rights before you buy them out, right? And you currently don't. ANYWAY, I'm not sure AI's going to help you guys one way or another, but the one thing I will tell you is that many of you will fall in love with him. Most Nugs fans did -- even those of us that thought it was time for him to go for the good of the team (like myself). He's fun to watch (especially in person) and is one of the top 50 players of all time. In a year where you're not expected to contend, there are worse ways to spend your money.

My initial statement before the one you just commented on was a simple scenario in which it may be possible to snag a young player DM stated he had interest in around draft time. The addition of AI would not necessarily work against those goals from early summerand in the meanwhile, he'd sell tickets. Lets get real here, aside from those of us who sip our coffee at school and work posting on this forum, the Rockets don't have a whole lot to market to the avg fan. No all-star caliber player = lower ticket sales
