Last tweet from Daryl Morey sums up why the Rockets didn't go after Iverson.

In response to Bill Simmons' tweet:

"Still bitter that @dmorey didn't sign Iverson. Might have to resign as his self-appointed VP of Common Sense. Weighing other fake offers."

    Morey wrote:

"@sportsguy33 has apparently abandoned his beliefs on Chemacterility in the NBA."

Chemacterility is a word Simmons coined: "Here's the new mantra for savvy NBA teams: "Chemacterility." Why haven't you heard the term before? Because I just made it up. But it's an amalgam of three concepts that have formed the foundation of the Duncan era in San Antonio: chemistry, character and (cap) flexibility."

So, Simmons expressed disappointment the Rockets didn't go after Iverson. One can take Morey's response to mean that he doesn't believe signing Iverson would be conducive to our team chemistry, character, and/or flexibility. In Iverson's case, probably all three.

Maybe it was the fancy thinking and the fancy Chemacterility word. But to simplify things Adelman was actually in his bedroom with a gun in his mouth watching the ESPN ticker. Iverson in Adelman's offense and the trigger would be pulled. I just don't think Morey is allowed to comment on that.

Um, how is Iverson not a proven team killer? Just the mere fact that he doesn't practice is a team killer, let alone his tendencies to break plays and hog the ball. Would you feel motivated to work your ass off knowing your best player is taking it easy at home? Would you feel a part of the team if you hardly ever get the ball, and the plays you work so hard to execute are broken again and again, with the result being a low percentage jumper amid traffic?

To top it off, the slacker gets all the accolades, becomes a lock-in for the hall of fame and gets rep for having " heart" and "laying it out on the line every single game". Yep, real chemistry maker there
