AI wouldn't be a bad influence to the younger guys in my opinion. Our young guys [Brooks, Landry, Lowry, Ariza, Hayes, and if there are anymore that I've missed (I don't include Taylor or Budinger because I have yet to see them on the court)] act with great professionalism, at least from what I've seen so far. They aren't like Wafer, JR Smith, or Ron Artest who have been known to I guess you can say "rebel" or act like they're full of themselves, etc. The Rockets young core is very coachable and are willing to listen to the coach, so I don't ever see them having that type of "attitude".

The only problem AI would bring to the team would be not running the plays, hogging the ball, and of course not showing up for practice. I mean to me, he's no worse that Ron Artest, who did not run the plays and hogged the ball sometimes. I mean that's why Rafer and Ron didn't get along because Ron never ran the plays, or so I've read. But at least Ron swallowed his pride and was willing to come off the bench. The problem here is that if Tmac comes back strong this year and the team plans to keep him till the summer of 2010, who would start at the SG position? I doubt Tmac would come off the bench and we already know that Iverson wants to start. Let's say the Rockets move Tracy to be SF and AI a SG, then what happens with Ariza and Battier? That wouldn't work either. What about letting AI play PG and bench Brooks? That would also be a bad idea considering the Rockets gave Brooks the reins. Also think about how that would affect his confidence. Either way I don't see this happening unless someone will be dealt, whether its McGrady, Battier, or whoever.

It will be interesting to see if this rumor comes true. Until then, I can't see the Rockets making such a decision.

Glad this is just another rumor. As a fan of the way Morey makes moves this wouldn't have made any sense to me.

Just another nail in many coffins this year. LOL! hopefully all this wishing we didnt get any of these players doesnt make us wish we had. If it does I can hopefully look forward to winning the top pick and maybe the Basketball gods will favor us once more with the top pick?

Not really, no. He was not a good fit on the Pistons, and he would not be a good fit here, but he is a GREAT player with a defensive PG at the helm...

    btw, Close this thread please!

Just in case you guys didn't believe me in post #109 of this thread where I said nothing was going on with Iverson and the Rockets...

All you had to do was ask. I did just for verification and he replied...

    Close this thread!

where do i even begin with this post....

We need Yao for a championship run...or any big man for that matter. He doesnt have to be Duncan or KG (he's better than Gasol)...Just the fact that he demands so much attention on the offensive end is why we need him. He just has to be healthy. He just has to be Yao.

A.I and Melo didnt play well together. That wasnt really a disaster, but how can you say that turned out well? you must have low standards if you thought Melo/AI worked well.

We dont know if Brooks and McGrady can be on the court together (i dont think we ever will know). Have brooks and Mcgrady been on the court for more than 10 mins in a game? Have they even played 5 games with each other?

Dumars is far from dumb. That was a salary move. Iverson was not brought in to help them win a championship

You can begin by saying good post :p :D....
A.I and Melo did good together. The problem was their 3rd scoring JR Smith who just shot them out of games. Sometimes he is on and when he is on he is on but when he is off he just keeps shooting.

As for McGrady and Brooks. They have played more than 5 games. Did you forget so quickly that Brooks sometimes would finish games and had Rafer on the bench. McGrady was usually handling the ball and Brooks was coming off back door screens. From the games that they played together it seemed fine to me.
