I think you meant to say "the most underutilized aspect of Iverson's game is his court vision and passing." A washed up chucker who will do nothing but keep the ball out of the hands of their prime star players is anything but an upgrade for the Heat. And Iverson doesn't play real defense.
Did you read what I posted? The implied assumption is that he could not get into financial trouble like Barkley and Pippen did because he's made much more money than them. He'd be in a tier by himself.
Sounds like he just wants to be back in the NBA and is becoming a ringchaser. If he's serious about it I think some teams will give him a chance....Celtics are always looking for old guys and don't really have a backup PG/SG so there. Bulls sound like a good fit especially if he can come off the bench and help that unit that will make a HUGE difference. If Thibs can get him to buy into the defense that will help as well as he's a really good team defender. Heat would have to be a backup role... How about the Lakers? They have been looking for a PG for the longest, Iverson is a decent PG...better than what they have...or at least he was. I'm unsure, I'd like to think he should just retire but I feel he can still be productive despite what has happened in Turkey.
Its hard to imagine you understand the cohesiveness of basketball. If you think Iverson would be a better fit for miami, you are crazy. He may very well be a better player than their pgs, but hes not a spot up shooter, never a great 3 points shooter, and they already have ball handlers who need theb all in their hand and are unofficial pgs. So the heat pg mainly has to spread the court and play defense, at this point, neither of allen's strengths.
Hell yes. I hope Isaih Thomas becomes the GM of the Knicks and he picks up Allen Iverson to be his Mike Bibby corpse. Awesome.
He averaged 9.3 points per game in the second-tier Eurocup (the level below the Euroleague). http://www.eurocupbasketball.com/ulebcup/home/on-court/players/showplayer?pcode=003056&clubcode=BES The Turkish League is a lower level than Eurocup, which is a lower level than the Euroleague.
AI can still play a Jason Kidd-like role if he can manage to change his mentality as a player. the guy has excellent court vision and ball control.
I don't know why everyone continues to hate on him, but I believe this guy has a couple of season left in the tank.
Not really. Iverson's not an efficient scorer, and unlike Terry or Crawford he has a broken jumpshot. You put him in a bench role he'll just pound the ball for 29 secs and then chuck up a clanker.
Its doesn't matter how much you have, gambling and bad investments will suck all that money up unless you have constant inflows coming in. If you had 100M instead of 10M in the bank, you'd be gambling at 100,000$ per chip instead of 10,000.
lol, yeah people have been saying that for a long time now, I don't think that's ever going to happen. Iverson's ego is too big to accept any type of role that means watching a lot ball from the bench.
