I would love for that to happen. The Clippers need more respect from LA and I can guarantee you that east LA will be behind him It might develop into the best crosstown rivalry in sports. Get R Done Clippers!
They would have Cassell, Cat, and AI (three of my favorite players in the league)...they would immediately become my second favorite team in the league.
NY Daily News reporting a possible 3-team trade now with Warriors and Bulls. Troy Murphy might go to the Bulls, Bulls could send either Sweetney(final year), PJ Brown(final year), and/or Ben Gordon to 76ers. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/story/479403p-403275c.html Looking at the live box scores. Troy Murphy is sitting out tonight's game.
Yes, which makes me believe that it's not going to happen. What's in it for Philly, unless they just want to tear down the team and start over?
Indiana wants him and Al Harrington can't be traded until Friday (90 days after he signed). That MAY be the holdup, waiting for Al to be tradeable. Harrington/Granger/Tinsley for AI
Seems like every team has their own version of the Iverson trade. But this one's not bad for Philly. Obviously they're not going to get close to equal value, but this not bad. Maybe the key is Granger in this one..
Would you be for that trade, Tom? Harrington is certainly solid and I like Granger's potential (but I've been in Barcelona this entire season and haven't been able to keep up with other teams much - or even see a single NBA game for that matter). Certainly I'd be thrilled to exchange Tinsley for AI, but I just wonder if that isn't giving up a bit too much for an aging superstar. How is O'neal looking this season? I suppose if he's looking healthy you have to take the gamble? Regardless, I hope the Pacers or Celtics get AI. I just don't want him in the West - though the AI/Ron Ron duo would certainly be entertaining to watch unfold.
I would prefer to hold onto either Granger or Harrington, and wonder if Philly might not need Granger as much with TWO similar guys in Iggy and Carney. I'd especially like to keep Granger since he is developing into an excellent defender and has greatly improved his range on offense. I'd give away Jackson and Tinsley for nothing, so if they can convince Philly to take them both, with Al or Granger as a sweetener, then I could live with that. JO and AI insist they are friends and could co-exist. That seems a stretch to me. Jermaine has been solid but not spectacular so far. In part it is due to a new offense and a lot of lineup tinkering. He's missed a few games with a pulled or tweaked hamstring. Our guards just suck. They can't stop dribble penetration and can't shoot with any consistency. I'm not an AI fan but it can't hurt, otherwise the team will play 0.500 ball forever.
You're dealing with Billy King - whatever trade goes down, it won't be the best case scenario for the Sixers. He's Charley Casserly. Evan
With Sacramento out it just leaves Golden State and Denver... He might make Golden State a playoff team but they won't be much of a threat outside of that. Denver is another story, if they get him without giving up Marcus Camby we could see another elite team in the West.
Hahaha. This could be like a cutscene from Family Guy. My worthless contribution backed up w/ no research: For some reason I see Sac or Indiana involved in the final AI deal.
Yeah, but their offers stink. Boston doesn't want to give up either Jefferson or Green, Indiana has a bunch of crazies, and neither have good PGs. Golden State and Denver have some of the best PGs in the NBA to offer.
Indy has one crazy, named Jackson, but no others that I know about. Philly won't take him, but they would like some combination of Tinsley (Philly's PG is Kevin Ollie!) Harrington cheap talent: Granger Shawne Williams (a rookie that Philly was supposedly high on) Rawle Marshall David Harrison Marquis Daniels
