Wiltjer needs to be on the roster and get playing time. Dekker, Harrel, McDaniels and Capela are trading bait.

I think Okafor or Noel should be seriously considered.

Absolutely. I'm sure he's got weaknesses in his game, but he's got an elite skill that is in high demand these days. He will not clear waivers at this point.

Add me to the list of those over Montrezl. For now, anyway.

It's so early but it kind of looks like he's regressed. Impatient when he should be patient, patient when he should be impatient.

I've seen enough of Pablo. Let him buy a ticket to the games from now on.

What's the over/under for NeNe's games played this season?

Maybyner Rodney Hilario (Nene, haha) last played 82 games in 2009, but averaged 58.6 since.
Since 2009, Eric Gordon has played a max of 64 games in a season. An average of 48 over 7 seasons.
In Anderson's 8 season career, he has averaged 60.5 games played (12-13 was the only season he made it past 66).
Motiejunas (for various reasons) has averaged 53 games in his 4 season career.
Beverley played the most games last season, 71, bumping his 4 season average to 56.

So, the over/under target for each player has to be:
    Anderson: 60
    Nene: 59
    Beverley: 56
    Motiejunas*: 53
    Gordon: 48

So.... everyone hold your breath and cross your fingers. And also hope that we brought in a top medical staff with our new coaching staff.

Seems like everyone is off the Sam Dekker bandwagon and onto Wiltjer.

    Good answer.

My comment was really tongue-in-cheek. When the OP said "NeNe should start", I envisioned more minutes, which wouldn't be a good thing considering his health issues. He only averaged 19.2 minutes last season and 25.3 the season before.

Your comment reminded me we have several players with bad injury history. Hopefully the health gods shine on us.

Yeah, I am pretty optimistic about this season but your post prompted me to actually look at the numbers. We're going to be walking on egg shells.

Dantoni said it will take a while to fully implement the system.

So there's more to see, don't turn off your TVs just yet.

Honestly, the lack of defensive structure and principles make me less optimistic.

Still not sure how either one of them have a bandwagon. But then we're also apparently statistical champions of the pre-season, so... yeah. lol.

Final roster assuming they can't find a Brewer trade and they re-sign Motiejunas.

    Keep Wiltjer.
    Cut Onuaku.
(Morey has a bad habit of keeping terrible players with guaranteed contracts over much better players with un-guaranteed contracts. Hopefully he doesn't do that here. Harrell can handle #3 Center and DMo can play center in some lineups, too.)
Only spot left to settle is #3 PG.
Wiltjer and #3 PG to D-League.

    C – NENE, CAPELA, HARRELL
    PF – ANDERSON, MOTIEJUNAS, WILTJER
    SF – ARIZA, BREWER, DEKKER
    SG – HARDEN, GORDON, MCDANIELS
    PG – BEVERLY, PRIGIONI, (PAYTON/ENNIS/BROWN/TAYLOR)
