You can call this knee jerk and with such a small sample size I won’t disagree. But I've seen enough to beleive Canaan should start over Lin. Canaan plays within the flow of the offense and try to over create when Harden is on the floor. He knows his role and that is to move the ball around, pass the ball to Harden, attack on fastbreaks, shoot the open 3 and take the scraps left over. He does all of that and some. He is inexperienced and I expect him to improve but tonight he has done most of that well. Why he should start over Lin is rather obvious. Lin plays better attacking the basket, the same role Harden has. Lin plays better against the second string. Lin makes too many turnovers in the paint. It’s like he is trying too hard to play hero ball. We need him to play a little hero ball with the second unit when Harden is out. We need very little of that to start the game. Canaan plays better team ball. Also the difference between Beverly as a starter and Lin is not close. This is not a Lin is a joke thread. This is about what is best for the Rockets and that is what I see in this game today. We miss Beverly and Lin as a starter hurts this team as a drop off in starting unit but also hurts the bench as we lose a scorer off the bench.
Yes, frkn KNEEJERK. Mugsy Bogues 2.0 NO THANK YOU. Although McHale's such a douchebag he'll probably do this and then at the end of the season its GOODBYE MCHALE
I agree with this but also stating Lin is the better player. But like OP says, Lin isnt being used properly when paired with Harden.
Lin makes the same mistakes over and over and over and over........ Despite being smart, this is one dumb guy on the court.
You know, regardless if you were a fan before Lin being here or not, the other 2013'ers messed it up to the point whatever you 2013'ers say becomes irrelevant. Kthxsbye
This is very knee jerk. Canaan shouldn't be starting. But Lin shouldn't be either. At this point though I wouldn't mind Canaan starting if it means Lin doesn't.
