So sorry for your loss, Isabel. I'm so glad you got to have that one last good talk with him. We pray for peace for you and your family.
Nothing I can say will be any help, but just wanted you to know that I ( like many others here, obviously) am thinking of you and your family today, and wishing you well. Take care of yourself, and go with however you feel. There are no right ways to act at times like this.
My deepest condolences, Isabel on the loss of your dad. You and the rest of your family will be in my prayers. What you said is oh so true about our parents - I still see mine every day and whether it is expected or unexpected, it is going to be the 2 toughest days in my life when they leave this earth.
You and your family are in my prayers. My mom passed away earlier this year, and there is simply nothing you can do to prepare for it. Just live a life that would make your dad proud...I am sure he is watching. DD

Whoa! Not to be disrespectful to Isabel or the thread here, but Sam, I thought I would never see a post from you again. Good to see that you are still around - hopefully you will be able to be seen more often here.
I feel you pain. I also lost my father to a massive heart attack when he was 50 years old. It was very unexpected and the type of loss you can never plan for. We all wish you the best.
Isabel, I'm so sorry for your loss. You and yours are in my prayers. One of the scriptures I've been clinging to for the past year is in Phillipians. It says that when we pray and petition, with thanksgiving, and present our requests to God, the peace *of* God which transcends all understanding will guard our hearts and minds. I pray that peace and strength envelopes you. Just know you have people praying for you and your family.
