I moved to the north to go to my dream school when I was 19. I came back to Texas after one year and am not going further north than Austin ever again. F you cold weather.
Chicago check in ... -17 this morning, -51 with windchill ... going to run outside at lunch and toss a boiling hot pot of coffee in the air to see what happens.
It's so cold here! About -16 with -40 windchill here up in Chicago right now . First time away from Austin/Houston so I am totally not used to this. So much snow everywhere
Bingo. Folks up here always try to make me feel better about the cold by saying "at least the summers aren't as bad" but I would take the oppressive heat over all this snow in a heartbeat.
Its 50 degrees here now. Supposed to get down to -7 tomorrow. Wtf almost 60 degree change in one day!
I'm the opposite. In Houston, I can take the cold as I know it will be short lived and I can just bundle up. The summer, however, is unbearable.
Swear to god, on any other day (other than today) I would side with you, but not today. Just not today. I agree though, it's easier to bundle up. People need to get down with "layers." Been using my thermals for a couple days, now. Also, it's perfectly fine, in the utilitarian sense, to use scarves and beanies. But today my man, I'm wishing it was August, and the least of my worries were a severe case of swamp-ass.
the one thing that cold is good for is elevating that Christmas/Holiday feeling. It feels more like Christmas when it's snowing. Unfortunately, that only lasts until Christmas. Once January comes there is nothing to look forward to other than when it gets warmer. It's just miserable and depressing.
dogs love the cold weather.. they're meditative creatures so they can warm themselves up. but below 0 dogs gotta bundle or stay inside too lol
I'm a Texan but went off to school in Iowa. I got so cold one time that I thought my balls retracted back into my stomach. Good to experience snow but dam.
Hey just be thankful for all that "man made global warming".. Or else we'd all be DEAD. Al Gore must be on another rampage all around the country this week..
