For those of you that don't know, Coolbaugh was a former Astros minor league player, among many other teams. I saw him play many times at Round Rock. This is an amazing gesture by the Rockies players. It's not so much about the money as it is telling Coolbaugh's wife (who is also pregnant with their 3rd child) that they are a part of the team and won't be forgotten.

I will now be rooting all the way for the Rockies. I was split between the Phillies and Rockies. I'm from Philadelphia originally and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Rockies come from nowhere to make the playoffs (and now possibly the NLCS since they're up 2-0).

    GO ROCKIES!

That is a classy move, but the organization should match it, and if I was a decently paid player, I would donate all of my share as well.

Good move though, but I would like to see a bit more.....

yeah, made me want to root them on too. I've never had any hate for the Rockies, they are just one of those teams that it just never generated in me.

I'm rooting for them, go Rockies.

    Oh, and Arizona!

And Cleveland! ...for the time being.

From what I heard back when it happened, the Rockies are doing a lot to help the family. I'm not exactly sure what they're doing or have done. I know the Express has done a lot to raise money for his family, too. I think they raised somewhere around $30,000 this season.

There aren't many vets on the Rockies. I know he played with Taylor Buchholz in 2005 @ Round Rock.
