Based on what you've posted in this thread, it appears you don't see any difference in the way Corey played last season and the way he's playing so far this season. I see a SIGNIFICANT disparity, so I guess that's where we fundamentally disagree. He's always gambled on defense and he's made a career from leaking out on the break. We all knew that when Morey made the trade, but he contributed consistently last season -- throughout both the regular season and much of the playoffs. Right now he's a huge liability out there and has done waaaaay more harm than good. I personally think KJ has quite a bit of upside, so we can agree to disagree there too lol.
The more I think I about it, sticking stubbornly w/ Corey while KJ sits DOES give me shades of sticking w/ Cisco while Covington sat. There's always a wing the coaches ride inexplicably, it seems.
He is completely lost out there, there was an older lady probably in her late 60s sitting behind me going nuts about why he was in the game in the 4th quarter. It's comical how bad he's playing.
At least Cisco could shoot and guard Kevin Durant. Only thing Brewer does well is turn easy layups into circus shots that he makes sometimes.
It's the same as sitting DMo while Jones was getting destroyed by the Blazers in the playoffs.....or Harden when they put him at center during that same series. It's just Rockets tradition to play guys who are sucking while leaving talent rotting away on the bench.
And I LURVED Cisco. Then wound up basically hating him because it was like he was trying to see exactly how much he could test my love. x____x
I think brew will get more comfortable as the season goes on. But I do agree his mints should be reduced ALOT
He's definitely having a Francisco-like dropoff, but he was better last season and now he's worse that Cisco was even. And to top it off we overpaid for even his production last season.
I'm all for him getting comfortable on the bench or even in the locker room. He'd probably be SUPER comfortable just staying in the hot tub during games.
Watching Brewer's goofy-ass "whoops, effed-up again" "oh no" wrists-to-forehead expression is more than I can bear. Why he stayed in the game so long was inexplicable. Maybe he and JB are buds and the coach is acquiescing to Brewer's exhortations to "just let me play through it." Right now I'd be satisfied in trading Brewer for an expiring. Did he take the summer off to enjoy his new money and then had to hustle to play catch-up, and is now just pressing too much? Whatever the deal, Brewer and Lawson are a combined $20,000,000 millstone tied to the neck of the organization.
The whole KJ vs Brew thing is not a difficult choice. Brewer right now gives little offense and is PATHETIC as a defender. He looks like a rag doll out there. Courtney Lee abused him in the Memphis game. Tonight was a parade of mistakes and lapses in concentration. At least KJ is a promising defender. The frustrating thing is that we all know he is going to get benched at some point, and we just have to sit and watch until JB makes that move. Why? He is a pathetically obvious weak link.
LMFAO! <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Just looked at Corey Brewer's shooting <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/s?src=hash">#s</a>, and my laptop started beeping and emitting fart noises.</p>— Zach Lowe (@ZachLowe_NBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/ZachLowe_NBA/status/668070489085079552">November 21, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
brewer shot 100% tonight (1 for 1 w/ a 3, haha), and 4-5 on ft's with a total of 7pts. mr lowe's computer went viral tonight? it must've been windows 10! lol.
I'm watching the Sixers replay, and Brewer just fouled out on a three point shooter. At this point he should just foul out of the team period.
