I could respect a true conservative: Concern over deficits and public spending Concern for conservation of natural resources for future generations Concerns over dark money in elections and corporate control of public policy Opposition to dictators and fascist, support for democracy Maintaining a Free Press as necessary to a functioning democracy Deeply held belief in Truth, integrity and public service ( deep religiosity?) But we live in a Orwellian state where those things that are about conserving the idea of the United States are not in the 'Conservatives' doctrines. Besides Trump, this guy Crenshaw is my biggest disappointment. By temperament and resume', he could have led a conservative revival but turned into just another trump chump looking for a lifetime office.
