Since RJ said Ivan sucks, I'll believe the opposite.

"We're not signing Pudge," Wade said. "Put that one to rest. We have no expectation to sign Pudge."

smart thinking boys. i love how wade can't even provide a reason.

something doesn't smell right to me. either drayton is a stubborn mule and refuses to sign a boras player, or pudge is getting kenny lofton'd for some reason by the league.

    i'm just in disbelief.

Actually, RJ went on to say the Astros should sign Pudge.

Pudge was abysmal for the Yankees last year. On top of his horrid hitting, his game-calling was atrocious.

He just wrote a column saying avoid Pudge.

    http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/justice/6266337.html
"If Ed Wade asked my opinion, I’d tell him to stay as far away from Pudge Rodriguez as possible."

But I wouldnt be surprised if he contradicted himself.

Justice really is an idiot. If he hasn't made up his mind, he should write about something else.

That's hilarious!! In the blog he writes, he concluded by saying the Astros should try to sign Pudge.

He hit .276 last year. That is a lot more production than anybody else at the position gave us. I'll take it.

He's a joke. Another blogger had actually linked to the original blog, then had to write this:

"UDPATE: I need to apologize. You might notice above that I linked to Richard Justice, and said that I agreed with him about signing Ivan Rodriguez. So I'm sure that those of you who read today's Chron are confused since, in his column, he says the Astros should avoid Ivan Rodriguez.

I read his blog post last night. I linked to his blog post. I didn't know that today he was going to write a column contradicting everything in his blog. Otherwise, I wouldn't have included the link.

Either way, I still think the Astros should sign Ivan Rodriguez."

We knew RJ was a flip flopper, but he usually waits more than a day to flip then flop.

Seriously--I'm not amazed any more. Or even mildly surprised.

It's what flip-floppers do. They flip, and they flop.

An embarrassment to the city. It's not even entertaining anymore.

This one was less than 24 hours I think.

I think that blog was published in the afternoon...and by the next morning's paper he was saying the exact opposite. That's just amusing.

A second half slump does not an entire season make. That means he hit very well for Detroit. You do realize there are MLB teams not named Yankees.

I think you guys are being overly critical of Justice here. I don't see what you guys are talking about. He states his opinion, which is that the Astros shouldn't get him, but lists the cons and the pros of having him. How is that a flip flop? He does it in the blog and the column.

Read my original post. I said he was bad for the Yankees. What he did in Detroit has zero to do with what he did for the Yankees. I did not say "Pudge was bad all year last year" or "Pudge is not a productive player anymore." I said he was bad for the Yankees.

You do realize that when someone refers to a team by name they mean that team...right?

    :p
