I'm a PC user who wishes he could afford to have a Mac. Now that I got that out of the way, I have a question about iTunes for Windows. I know that Mac users have th ability to tweak iTunes with AppleScripts. Are there any such add-ons for Windows yet? I absolutely love iTunes. I'm in the process of ripping all of my CDs. I'm currently in the S's right now and am at around the 10,000 song mark. Still have a hundred or so CDs to go. What would be great is to have more control over how my library is presented. I would like it if it the list was collapsable. In other words, it only lists the artists and then once you click on the artist it shows the albums. Click on the album and then you have the songs. The search function works great but I would still like the ability to browse my collection. Feel free to share your iTunes experiences also......
Winamp's (5, at least) media library does this, and you can add different views to fit certain criteria if you like. I'd get it, if I were you.
There have been rumors that the next iTunes release will have quite a few more features that allow greater control over playlists. I'm sure that the longer iTunes is out, the more chance there is of third-party developers releasing add-on's for Win versions. I'm patiently waiting for when you'll be able to search iTunes by musician, producer, songwriter, engineer, record label, etc.
