I'd much rather see the Texans draft a couple of QBs than go out and spend a ton of money on Romo or trade a ton of assets for Garoppolo. At this point, there's no way to know that Garoppolo is any better than someone like Deshaun Watson.
"If the Texans front office is willing.....". Damn you fools! Trust the instincts of your coaches and get out of the damn way before you are chained and Osweilered.
Romo is #35 in the black jersey next to what looks like Charlie Vellanuevas little brother. Heres a video of him getting stripped, then scoring on the other end and then getting a buzzer beater shot go down in his face for a loss. Its been the story of his life apparently.
after seeing the bball videos, I've seen enough! get him over here!! why are we posting romo middle school highlights? did i miss something? He got game was released in 1998
Latest rumor: 3-way trade between Redskins, Cowboys, and 49'ers. Romo to Washington, Cousins to S.F., draft picks to Dallas per Ian Rapaport https://www.all22.com/dallas-cowboys/49ers-redskins-include-cowboys-tony-romo-three-team-trade
It makes some sense if he's cut. Think about it, the Texans are one of the best teams when it comes to giving him a solid shot at winning due to the stellar defense, top tier WR1, and solid run game.....plus probably more importantly, if Romo were to have playoff success in Houston while the Cowboys are still one and done in the playoffs with the guy they replaced him with it would be such a massive middle finger to the Cowboys you could see it from space. In some ways it's similar to what Andre Johnson was hoping to do in Indianapolis.....only he truly had nothing left as a player and the Colts suck.
Posted on Rotoworld: Citing "several people within the sport," the Washington Post reports there is "growing sentiment" Tony Romo could land with the Texans. Despite rumors Romo could land in D.C. the Post's Mike Jones tweeted Friday that the Skins flatly "don't want" him. The Texans could and should be different with Brock Osweiler and Tom Savage currently atop the depth chart, and a roster that may be one quarterback away from Super Bowl contention. Per the Post's Mark Maske, "Several agents and coaches and executives with other NFL teams said in recent days at the NFL Scouting Combine that they regard the Texans as the most likely destination for Romo." Added one high-ranking NFL official, "I don't think anyone in the league would be surprised to see that one happen." In Houston, Romo could stay in Texas and play beneath the Texans' retractable roof. Romo landing there would be outstanding news for the fantasy outlooks of DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller, Lamar Miller, and C.J. Fiedorowicz. Related: Texans Source: Washington Post Mar 3 - 7:18 PM
I've seen Ian Rapaport stories on Romo situation questioned by his peers several times in the last week alone. Posted on Rotoworld: Contacted by PFT's Mike Florio, "multiple sources with direct knowledge of the situation scoffed" at NFL Network's report/rumor of a three-way trade sending Tony Romo to Washington, Kirk Cousins to San Francisco, and other compensation to Dallas. One source called the rumor "conjecture," and Florio says Ian Rapoport effectively "made up" the story. Rapoport also reported Friday that Julio Jones was having foot surgery on Monday, but he isn't. The Cowboys certainly would not want to send Romo to a division rival, and there is no reason for Dallas to be involved in any trade sending Cousins to the 49ers. Florio wrote that Rapoport "gets points for creativity and for filling a slow Friday afternoon with a little intrigue." Put simply, the three-way trade isn't happening and was so unrealistic it almost seemed concocted from an online message board. Source: Profootballtalk on NBC Sports Mar 4 - 1:57 AM
