Yup, and the reason for that is because he's not any good. He wasn't significantly better last season than Brock Osweiler was in a new system and arguably worse than Osweiler was the season before that making his very first starts in the NFL.

I mean, there's hot takes and then there's wanting Tyrod Taylor hot takes.

I'd take Tyrod Taylor on a decent contract.

    He's far better than Osweiler.

    Let's see.

    Taylor: 3000 yards, 6.93 YPA, 17 TD, 6 INT, 67.4 QBR, 89.6 QBRating, 580 rushing yards on 6.1 YPC, 6 rushing TDs

    Brock: 3000 yards, 5.80 YPA, 15 TD, 16 INT, 55.5 QBR, 72.2 QBRating, 131 rushing yards on 4.4 YPC, 2 rushing TDs

    Yes, that's significantly better.

Taylor in 2015 ran circles around Brock 2015 as well. The difference between the two is that Tyrod may not be good enough to win a Superbowl. Brock may not be good enough to be a functional NFL QB.

One is safer, sure, but when you factor in that one was in a brand new system and you factor in that a lot of those interceptions weren't the fault of the QB and several TD passes were dropped, they are about the same. Sure Tyrod Taylor is a much better RB, but we're not talking about QB play.

The point is you'd have to be a fool to actually want Tyrod Taylor as your QB.

I like how people always use this argument to justify sucking. It's as if other QBs all have sure-hand receivers that never drop passes and that all their interceptions are clearly their own fault.

Also the fact that we're even comparing Osweiler to Taylor pretty much sums up what a failure Brock has been.

That's the problem with bad decisions. They're simple.

Yeah, crazy how people like to use context in discussions in order to get a better idea of what is behind numbers.

Yeah, Tyrod Taylor has all-pro receivers that have never dropped any passes or that have never caused interceptions due to drops, bad routes, etc...

Only Osweiler is the victim of such things.

Actually...Brady too...his two picks against the Texans were tipped passes.

Honestly his Dolphins tape doesnt look amazing, guy has zero long ball accuracy. I would rather get Romo, cousins, or even Taylor than Jimmy G. I don't want anything from the Pats, I feel like they are all just Hoodie bringing out the best, he wont do as well here.

What NBA Point Guard would you compare Romo too? Just trying to get a feel of what kind of player he is since I'm semi new to football.

Pretty much what the average starting
Probably around what the average starting QB gets paid, around $15-20 million a year.

They should restructure Osweilers contract or offer Taylor a backloaded contract.

Here is the thing with Romo. You wait for the Cowboys to release him. Then Tony has to make a decision.....the most MONEY or the best chance to win a Super Bowl. Texans are EASILY the closest team ready to win than ANY team that will be looking for a QB. Jets, Bills, Browns, Jags, Niners? Broncos window has closed and with the coaching change are probably not interested in Romo. Texans can get Romo for probably $10-$14 million dollars.
