Was it Boki? Van Gundy gave him minutes at the beginning of the season to show what he could do. He's now a bench-warmer. Obviously, Van Gundy has lost his confidence in Nachbar. What is the point in keeping him around now?
Marion is a player that deserves the max. Ranks #12 in the NBA in Rebounds Per Game(9.3) Ranks #7 in the NBA in Free-Throw Percentage(0.882) Ranks #6 in the NBA in Steals Per Game(2.03) Ranks #4 in the NBA in Minutes Per Game(40.4) Ranks #5 in the NBA in Minutes Played(1333.0) Ranks #15 in the NBA in Field Goals Made(242.0) Ranks #12 in the NBA in Field Goal Attempts(560.0) Ranks #17 in the NBA in Defensive Rebounds(214.0) Ranks #18 in the NBA in Defensive Rebounds Per Game(6.5) Ranks #14 in the NBA in Total Rebounds(306.0) Ranks #5 in the NBA in Steals(67.0) Ranks #17 in the NBA in Blocks(59.0) Ranks #7 in the NBA in Steals Per Turnover(1.18) Ranks #10 in the NBA in Double-doubles(16.0) Ranks #10 in the NBA in Total Efficiency Points(736.0) Ranks #11 in the NBA in Efficiency Ranking(22.3) This is one of the most underated players in the NBA and would be one of the best pickups the rockets could possibly make.
Exactly! I don't see Nachbar in our future. I think he was a Rudy type player. Padgett is getting Nachbar's minutes right now. JVG is playing JJ way more minutes than he should because he has confidence in JJ and not much in Nachbar. I dont think we could trade Nachbar straight up in a trade and get good value. I think Nachbar has to be coupled with someone else for a better player. I would like to see Nachbar get more minutes but I dont see it happening.
When you list the same categories, or redundant variations thereof, over and over again, it makes him look a little better than he actually is. He's a decent player, not a superstar in my opinion.
As much as I want Boki to succeed, Boki for Shawn Marion stretches so far into fantasyland it doesn't even rate a comment.....
Second year. Besides, since when do years in the league dictate playing time? According to that scenario, nearly everyone on the team should get more PT than Boki. PT is given based on ability to contribute. Evidently, JVG has decided that Boki's abilities in that regard are pretty limited, at least on this team. His trade value? Nada. I can't imagine picking up more than a 2nd rounder for him.

Let me clarify my 1st post. I meant the Suns might be cutting costs which means dumping Marion on some team which doesn't necessarily include the Rockets. I think they will be looking at cheaper alternatives out there, and it seems the coach of the Suns really liked Boki when he was coaching him in Italy. Suns have draft picks galore now. They are in rebuilding mode, and I think D'Antoni will get signed to an extension after this season for a cheap price. It makes sense to have the Suns pick up Boki now while he is still in his rookie contract to try him out for the remainder of the contract. Suns might take a gander at Boki if the Rockets were to offer him up.
What did the Rockets get for Eddie Griffin? Boki's not going to get any relevant playing time this year while Van Gundy is trying to make the playoffs. He might not even get any time next year too. Adrian Griffin is signed till next year. The Suns are basically going to be a European NBA team now. Boki would fit on that team. The Rockets need to do the right thing and trade him to the Suns. If I were Boki, I'd talk to CD. Even if it's only a 2nd rounder, it's better than getting zero like they did with Eddie.
