I guess it's all about tolerance. Personally, 0-3 I was cool, calm, and collected. The GSW game pissed me off, because we should have been better than them, but I chalked it up to Ellis getting lucky. But now, I'm started to get positively nervous. Even though these were three good teams that beat us, what team in the NBA isn't good? We should've been able to scrape together at least one win out of these! And, honestly, NO is not even that great of a team. They have 2 or 3 non-scrubs on their team, including CP3.
That's what has gotten me kinda worried too. But there is no way....we can go 0-7....no way. Im going to spurs game. I hope they win. Meh.
Nope the trigger happy TA was controlled and tamed by CP3 Why didnt we traded for him when we had the chance? Morey calm hardball nature cost us Fire Morey
They should have tanked last season. There arent many players out there that would make the Rockets a legit threat. The only way the Rockets are going to get an impact player is through the draft. Rockets need to figure out how to get a player like that first, before trying to entice someone like Melo or Deron Williams. Thats how they got Tmac. They wont want to come here otherwise. Its either that or settle for overpaid players like Rashard Lewis or Iggy. Personally I would take Arenas if it wasnt for his ridiculous contract.
Ding Ding Ding!!! Star players want to play with other star players. That's why Melo doesn't really want to play in NJ, that's why Melo wants to team up with CP3, or Amare...that's why CP3 supposedly wanted to go to 5 places and none of them were Houston. He wanted to go to Portland before Houston although Portland is a smaller market...wonder why. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/quxsxSe1YTo?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/quxsxSe1YTo?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> I'd rather rebuild now than wait for Yao to retire. AGAIN I am talking about being a contender. Sure the Rockets can get it together, become a 4th or 5th seed...but how far will they go? Maybe we can swindle Minny for Rubio.
Speaking of Portland, You can add B.Roy to the Melo/Deron list. I wouldnt turn down Joe Johnson either.
This thread, along with many many many many other threads, seriously has me regretting joining up here.
Look at AB and Martin, the worst NBA guard lineup on defense. With them on the court, the whole team's defense is down to the pathetic level. Remember 96' Bull, that's the elite defense.
it may be the biggest blessing in the world for the rockets to bottom out this season. they have been good...good is nice...good doesn't contend for rings, though. the problem is...it's tough to leave the comforts of good. often you think that good is good enough. it's not. no one should tank...but this team as constructed isn't going anywhere. the franchise needs a player to build around, because it does not have one. so if we end up sucking all season...the silver lining is a high draft pick.
Our best player is still Martin. Yes more than Scola. wrong sir. Best player right now on the rockets is scola.
Trading Ariza was not a mistake, he didn't do such a spectacular job guarding Martin. Martin still was able to play his game. Ariza gambles too much which can always be a problem, Courtney Lee is a much better defender. I agree, Battier is slow, he needs to be a third option right now with his terrible offense and lack of D, I rather see Jeffries, right now I doubt they make a trade, there is no one player that is the total problem. They lose games in the 4th quarter after playing so well the other 3. That's bad coaching
