Lance Z was speculating Hoyer might retire, he's had 5 (diagnosed) concussions and he self-reported the last one, so he's clearly concerned about it.

I don't blame Hoyer. I have zero faith in the NFL "concussion protocol." See Case Keenum a few weeks ago.

i wouldn't blame him. And I certainly wouldn't expect him to play for a few games.

Let's see if Yates finds that magic again.

I know everyone wants to draft a franchise QB, and I hope we at least draft someone with a chance. But I actually have high hopes for Savage. He was my favorite in preseason so of course he is the one that got hurt...

Holy crap, 5 concussions? That's scary.

If Yates is the starter the rest of the year we're probably done. But with Hoyer were looking at a first round exit at best anyways

Yates has one playoff win already. Better chances with him since the offense seems to take more chances with him at helm and Hoyer chokes when the bright lights are on. Hopefully Hoyer takes the rest of the season off and reevaluates if Football is still worth it.

Very true, it's not worth Hoyer risking his future health for him to rush back to lose more games for the Texans. Just let Yates finish the rest of the season and the playoff game while Hoyer gets prepared for retirement.

If Yates plays poorly, you'll go back to bashing the WRs and the OL and BOB. That was why Mallet sucked right, drops and poor OL and no running game?

Your schtick sucks, and you're certainly not a Texans fan.

How do you have the time to post here and on the Ravens forum?

If Yates plays poorly, he plays poorly. No one thinks he's a great QB, he just gives the Texans a better chance to win games than Hoyer does....you know, pretty much like any other QB that has been on an NFL roster in the last few years.

I can deal with Yates failing and the Texans losing as a result.

You still going on with that nonsense? I suppose you think I'm a Jets fan too since last year you were going on about me being a Fitzpatrick lover right?

You are the Brian Hoyer of trolling and I can tell you've suffered a lot of concussions in your life. Step your game up to a TJ Yates level or just retire.

Honestly . . .. Yates can turn into Joe Montana for the rest of the football year . . . win a playoff game. . maybe two . . . . .. I STILL WANT THEM TO LOOK TO DRAFT A QB IN THE NEXT DRAFT

    Period!!

    Finally, you admit it.

I don't know how you survive with your favorite QBs on the east coast

This concussion thing is as much on the 5 men up front as the coaches and Hoyer himself

If you are a lineman you should take it personal that your QB is a ragdoll
This isn't David Carr running out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage
or Running directly into a defender

Yes, bottom line is none of these guys are our future, and BOB has shown zero ability to find talent at any position except Punter.

Oh no question. Even if the Texans were to win the Super Bowl, Yates isn't a long term solution. Honestly he's a 3rd string QB at best.....but sadly that's better than the QB that our brilliant coach brought in to start the season at QB.

Part of it is that he has very little pocket awareness and that he holds onto the ball too long. Part of it is that he's not very good at diagnosing the blitz. Part of it is that his O linemen "got beat". IMO part of it is that his O linemen didn't really want to block hard for a scrub that they know has no chance of getting the team into the end zone.

The best thing he can do for himself is to retire.
