It's time to start thinking about moving Jalen to the BENCH

The start of the game was absolutely hilarious.

Whoever the Celtics guy was commentating with Scal - went against the grain and disregarded the broadcasters code of always hyping up everyone as amazing.

"Jalen with the miss.. Rockets fans saying that a lot this year"

The guy talking about Cam and Amen and improving, and Scal mentions the Rockets want to see Jalen improve too. "... but he hasn't improved at all though"

This guy obviously watches Rockets basketball.

There's that beautiful Jalen IQ again - being the inbounder but just deciding to take a step over the line anyway.

I've not - ever - seen another player be such a bad shooter, but still take so many ill advised heat check shots when... they haven't even made one previously, let alone enough to be on a heater.

    Utter garbage.

I wanna see more playing time for Nate Williams. He can really get to the basket with crafty moves.

honestly, why not give him some consistent minutes. This guy has actually earned a chance. All I see him do is score with the very limited time he gets. I’d love to see what he could do with 15min of playing time. I don’t think we have much to lose if we aren’t intent on replacing Jalen with a vet.

Sengun, Jabari, Eason all played for Silas. Their work ethic persevered and it clearly shows. This is no longer a viable excuse. You can really tell who's been working on their craft around the clock and who has taken everything for granted.

I wish he would make the "learning how to shoot" adjustment at some point. Maybe that'll come as part of his 14th year leap.

argument about 'he was just hooping' isn't valid because you have Cam Whitmore who was 'just hooping' with highschoolers still translating better than guy in his 4th pro season

This seems like a classic example of Harlon's razor. You are ascribing malice (i.e. laziness and entitlement) to Jalen Green when stupidity (i.e. low basketball IQ) can adequately explain his lack of development.

Watching basketball podcasts and interviews, it's pretty clear that for long term success in the NBA players need to be able to understand concepts and adjust dynamically in game. It's how lower talent guys (e.g Brian Scalabrine) survive and higher talent guys thrive. Low BBall IQ guys wash out unless they have ungodly physical skills (e.g. Russell Westbrook).

Sengun, Jabari, and Tari are all considered high bball IQ guys. It's no surprise they're able to take coaching and boost their game. I've not yet seen that Green understands the brand of basketball he needs to play to be successful on the current Rockets team.

I sure hope there is a opposing GM that believes that.

My 1 critique about Green since draft was how high he jumps when he shoots. Players like this will have broke jumpers forever. For every inch you're off in your high jump you have a new form and a new angle to the rim.
