Why destroy the them. we already have?

We are now playing like Piston, T-MAC can control the ball, and everyone can shoot and guard toughly. That's pretty good enough.

Any all-star caliber player should believe that night in and night out. No matter what even if in a slump. A star always has confidence. Once they lose it they tend to crumble away.

I agree if you are operationalizing your definition in terms of who dominates the most... then considering who has the ability to dominate games is also who has the ability to take over games... tonight Paul did a great job of trying to put the game on his shoulder and dominate when no one else could/did... tmac did a similar thing.. if we are talking about it in that respect, then I still don't consider dwight howard with that ability.. while he has the explosiveness and raw talent, I still wouldn't classify him above tmac... you could definitely make a case for lebron or kobe (esp. with the way they've been playing recently) but again, I gotta disagree on Howard... possibly even Paul...and before his injury, Wade definitely should be there

Well for one I made the list off the top of my head in 20 seconds and even then I thought about not putting Howard there. He probably belongs in the other list that you can argue is better than T-Mac.

Paul is about to become only I believe 7th maybe 8th player in history to average 20 pts and 10 assts in a season so yes I think he belongs there. He can take a game over like Nash by make phenomenal passes or like T-Mac by scoring a crap ton of points.

Never once have i thought Wade was a clear cut top 5 player. He always had a dominant Shaq to run with and get easy shots and lanes off of. Now with a team that I would say has a roster close to the level of Clevelands last year he can't win a game even once every two weeks. if he was so great his team would win atleast 1/3 of its games. And this year even with a healthy Shaq averaging 15-7 (the level of Illgal for LeBron) Wade couldn't win games for Miami.

Lastly there really is no arguing Kobe and LeBron are the best two in the league and are head and shoulders above any one else (been this way for a coupel years now).

The way Lebron and Kobe are playing, T-Mac would have to win it all this year to claim the best player in the game. But I think we can do it.

You have Howard on your top 5 list, he a great player and all but top 5 come on man. He always go away doing the 4th quater of games I think he avg. like 3 or 4 points in the 4th and thats not going to cut it. In my opinion Paul shouldn't be on there either I'm put D-Will over him. Tracy when healthy is a top 5 player and the media will give him his credit when he wins a playoff series, and it will be this year.

The real top 5 players in the game.
    1. Lebron
    2. Kobe
    3. Tracy(only when healthy)
    4. KG
    5. Duncan

But seriously, maybe its just me, but KG never got half the flak that TMac gets for not winning a playoff series. I think people are just too harsh on TMac. I mean who did he have in Orlando? Here Yao only really started dominating since last year. Give this guy a break, he is only human.

^ Umm, maybe it was the fact that he quit on his team whereas KG gave it 110% night in and night out???

Can you give me the math formula for figuring out how Kevin Garnett plays 110 percent every night?

Gave up on his team. From what I remember his teammates got shutdown in game 7 of both Dallas and Utah. His #'s were good. Honestly KG has got past it once and his team was thicker than the Rox. Take away the injuries and having to play hurt and he is in the running with Kobe. Kobe is a better scorer, but T-Mac is a better all around teammate.

I've stood by T-Mac since Day One. Continued to support him even when things got pretty bad. This whole damn site was screaming, "Trade Stacy McLazy, get him for Mike Redd, blah blah blah." I was ridiculed for defending T-Mac and for not wanting to make a trade that shook up the team. Thankfully, we never made that trade and 18 games later, we are still winning. How does it feel T-Mac haters? It hurts don't it? I know it burns.

That's not how we operate around here rookie!

Great article. I really enjoyed reading it. This streak is so exciting. I just wish Yao was going to be back by playoff time. :(

Still don't have much confidence in Mcgrady.

He's talented and all...never argued that..but it's when things are going good and he wants to be.

kevin mchale basically said he quit last yr when he did'nt care what his teammates did and actually vouch for his close friends on that team to stay in the starting lineup despite their laziness. so you're wrong.

and wade has quit defensively this yr too. how do u have a team full of athletic players and have people run all over you.

players quit my friend. even the best ones.

I was one of the guys who thought Tmac on a couple of occasions this year, quit. But the guy has been playing pro hoops straight from high school. The Rockets were sucking to start off the season and he was playing hurt and just seemed to emotionally get tired in the middle of a long season. That is understandable that he might have quit for a bit. But he is not quiting now. He has come back rejuvenated and playing the best basketball as a Rocket. He may not get consideration for MVP but IMO he is playing every bit as good as Kobe and Lebron. He is going to the basket again and he is playing smart basketball and the Rockets are winning with a lot less than Kobe's Lakers.

Okay see has never got past the first round. But what has Kobe done without Shaq and Lebron plays in the east. Put the Rockets in the East and will be in the finals every year. Tmac is back and if back to back games averaging 36 pts, 9 assists and 4.5 rebs while shooting at 60% from the field against to of the best teams in the West is not enough to give him some respect than so be it. The Media is generally stupid anyway.
