Lol, where does the Rubio obsession come from? What has he done in this league to have somebody cape for him to this degree?
That's definitely a head scratcher. I thought we were waaaaaay past the whole "Ricky Rubio chase". Especially now that our primary ball handler would take away from the abilities of another guy that's a primary ball handler.
None of that has anything to do with your statement that if the Rockets beat the Spurs it will be because of luck or injury. Dan Gilbert and Joseph Lacob both are basketball morons and they have have the best two teams in the NBA. Peter Holt also isn't some sort of savant when it comes to basketball either. All of this is irrelevant..... what matter is 2017 and the current team and coaches. If the Rockets beat the Spurs it will be because the Rockets match up better against the Spurs than the Spurs do against the Rockets. It really isn't that hard.... you don't get special credit because you won titles 3 years ago. Just because a team with Duncan and in their primes Parker and Ginobili won titles years ago mean little now. It is like Rick Pitino said: "Larry Bird is not walking through that door, fans. Kevin McHale is not walking through that door, and Robert Parish is not walking through that door. And if you expect them to walk through that door, they're going to be gray and old." The better team will win the series.... I think it will be San Antonio, but this BS discrediting the Rockets a head of time if they win the series is absurd.
I agree with your definition of our needs. But I believe this is more of a character issue, I see sometimes Lou has denied Harden the early pass, and since that started hapenning, there are sometimes when Bev does it too. Do you believe, Llull would be another solution? I see him as our most accesible playmaker, and really, I don´t see anything else really gettable.
Holt, Lacob, and Gilbert let their basketball people run the basketball team. And In the Spurs and Warriors cases that didn't involve a player. In Cleveland's case it does involve a player and because it does it has cost them at least one championship. That's not the case here.
Wait wait wait wait.... Harden ran off another superstar? We talking about the social media superstar Chandler? I know we aren't talking about Mr. I'm unhappy AGAIN in ATL Dwight Howard.
No. We're talking about Kevin Durant! Because of Harden's churlish behavior in being unwilling to work with McHale and Dwight to produce the 55-60 wins we were capable of, we lost out on Durant. Got it? Durant! Not only did Harden run him off, he ran him to one of our primary competitors. We could've had Durant instead of Anderson and still signed Gordon and had everybody else with MDA! You got that?! You remember that every time the Warriors lift the trophy! Harden ran off his supposed best friend, Durant!
Excuse me, but are you being objective when you promote Rubio as the solution to all of our problems? or were you objective when you said we wouldnt make the playoffs with Capela starting? Just asking...
Not sure what to say to this. Delusional. Take a break from posting, you're not making sense. We have no evidence of any of this-it's all your opinions.
I never promoted Rubio as the solution to all our problems. I have promoted Rubio as an ideal fit next to Harden as the primary playmaker with Harden running the backup unit from the top and just killing other teams second units. And I still believe that Rubio, Bev, Harden at 1-3 with another shooter at the 4 and a great defensive pick and roll center would be a killer line-up, both offensively and defensively. You run pick and roll early with Rubio and the center and you conserve Harden for later and let him kill other teams by being the best floor spreader ever. You decrease Hardens turnovers because he's not forcing the action against starting units. And you increase Hardens three point shooting percentages because he's doing more catch-and-shoots that he is deadly at and far less pull-up jumpers that he sucks at. Defensively, running Rubio and Bev up top and moving Harden to a bigger slower player to defend would be the best of all worlds there. Hardens defensive "roaming" and gambling would pay much more dividends and be a lot less costly if he were defending a corner or a big, which Harden is actually good at. This would give us at least one good (Harden) or great (Rubio) distributor on the floor all all times and for 15 minutes or so a game with both of them together. See the picture here? Rubio, Bev, Harden, Nene, Ariza is a top 3 defense, and an improved diversified offense with even more fast breaks because of the numerous defensive turnovers that line-up would create. I'm not going to address my Capela remarks again. If you are so dumb just to polly parrot false rhetoric without going back and looking at what I wrote in proper context then just keep believing lies. I don't care.
