If we beat a healthy Spurs we have most likely significantly overachieved since having that much luck is nigh unto impossible. Which would be a great sign going forward into next season.
I don't understand why anyone still replies back to anything the guy has to say he is a total loser on so many levels...just ignore him
Why is it if the Rox win a title you are wrong and the Rox fail to win a title you are right? There are hundreds of reasons why the Rox might win or lose a playoff series so why out of the possible reasons the one you say is correct? This is straight up crazy false equivalence you are creating here, first of all Capela is a 3rd year player on a rookie contract, if the title hinges just on his shoulders and he would win or lose the Rox season then honestly the Rox don't even deserve to be in the playoffs. You can come up with all sorts of crazy reasons all you want: the jinx, harden's beard length, Anderson's receding hairline w/e. The reality is, the biggest reason why the Rox win or lose will always be their 3 pt %. That's it over everything else. FYI the rox aren't costing themselves a title even if they lose. They have just 1 all star on the team going up against multiple super teams. Them losing is the likely scenario due to the talen disparity, which is you using the loss to validate your reasons doesn't make sense.
If the Rockets win the series it will be because the Rockets are a better team head to head against San Antonio. It won't be because of luck. The Spurs will be prepared and give maximum effort and make the adjustments they are capable of making. Popovich is one of the two greatest NBA coaches to ever live. He is great at preparing his team and making adjustments. Having said that, Popovich made the decision to give the Rockets the three point line. That wasn't just coincidence, that was his strategy. He will make adjustments, and D'Antoni will counter and the better team will win. I think the Spurs are still the favorites in this series, but lets not act like the Rockets are something you stepped in or that the Spurs are some special team. The Spurs haven't gotten out of the second round in three seasons and had their hands full last round with a beat up Grizzlies team.
Adding broke shot Rubio to the league's most 3 pt dependent team will guarantee a rockets championship.
It's weird seeing holic be reasonable and knowledgeable in the NBA draft forum, then seeing him here all hyperbolic and arguing like a teenager. It's like two different posters. Too bad the GARM gets the worse one.
I haven't acted or projected one time that the Rockets were crap. I've started over and over. They are also-rans. That's not crap. Also-rans are good teams that aren't quite good enough. They're a notch below champions. Stockton/Malone are perfect examples. Tons of stats. Hall of fame. No rings. So don't put that on me either.
Well it's real simple. If the Rockets win the title this year I would be wrong because I said we wouldn't win a title this year. And if that Rockets don't win a title I will be right because I said the Rockets won't win a title. You know........I said the same thing a lot of other posters said. Were you at Pop's press conference asking questions? Just curious.
Oh? Same guy both places. What's different in garm is there is less objectivity in garm because we're talking about our team.
This current Spurs team has been also-rans as well.... they haven't gotten out of the second round in 3 years. If you want to hold the Cavs and Warriors to a higher standard than everyone else, I understand that.... but this current incarnation of the Spurs has done nothing to separate themselves.
Didn't say they had. What I have said about the Spurs is for the last twenty years they have been a better organization than us. Five championships. Many more wins. And an orderly organization built top down with basketball decisions made by basketball experts and the GM and coach running the basketball operation with a team built around ego-less superstars who don't pout and quit and try to get the church fired....... not a superstar player with an ego and an owner who knows nothing more about basketball than a season ticket holding fan does. Do you doubt any of that?
By "rim protector" you mean an extra layer of steel coating to reinforce and protect the rim from the bricks that Rubio will be chunking at it, correct?
Do not change or start modifying your stance now. No goal posts will be moved or modified. If we win this series, you will have to re-examine what you missed. Don't start blaming luck or getting "hot" because that's a core element to this teams design.
