there are lots of backcuts and plays designed to create openings in the post. See any game for bullard pointing this out.
Uh no, those are the same limited backdoor cuts that fed Chuck Hayes entire offenseive repitoire last year. This offense IS the same as last year, with the exception of putting Yao in the high post a few times this year which was a tragedy.
it's hard to have cutters when none of your big men are good passers. chuck and Yao are just average passers.
This Rockets offense looks nothing like the offense that Sacremento has. I saw them run a few plays off the high post but now it's looking almost exactly like last year.
and these are all legitimate reasons why he should not be starting. thanks for helping me reinforce my point. seems like you do. i for one am happy that we are 6-1, no matter who is or isnt playing. i like the rockets more than any 1 player.
did you honestly accept us to look like the sac kings? the princeton offense is for teams who dont have much individual star power, and they ran it to perfection. we have the luxury of having two stars so we dont need run so many cuts and screens. also like i said our big men are only average passers. you cant compare yao to webber or divac.
Wow. No star power. Webber was an absolute beast back then, him and Stojakovich averaged 46 or so a game. Bibby was an outstanding PG Turkoglu, Vlade, Bobby Jackson, and Doug Cristie as a better version of Battier. Wow you are about out there on that one. Webber and Pedra are our Yao and TMac. Cristie is our Battier. Only difference is that team had much more star power than this one.
It never was intended to look exactly like that offense. We have different personnel. Yao doesn't play like Vlade, McGrady is nothing like Christie at SG, and Chuck Hayes is nothing like Webber obviously. Objectively, gotta say Bibby then was better than our Rafer/James duo. And Stojakovic obviously is not Battier. Even if you take away the positions, as a collective whole we don't have the same type of personnel. It is not ever going to be a mirror image of that offense. Gotta play to your strengths. We have different types of playmakers than the Kings did.
Maybe... but atleast we have seen Luther hasn't been a major factor on the team where we haven't seen Steve on the court so how can we judge until he has been on the floor? Why not give it a shot? Who knows if it will work or not... it doesn't HAVE to stay that way if things are going down hill... we don't want that! This is what we are debating... we aren't assuming things here...
Rafer has to step up now, i mean .302 FG and .241 3pt FG won't cut it in the playoffs. He's digressed from even last year. We would've lost to Charlott if it wasn't for Yao's heroic rebound and clutch FT. Rafer's bricked shots won't always land on Yao's hands... I hope RA realize that.
yeah, rite, even you do not like the way steve plays,he deserves more than he is treated now, come on steve,we need you.
utah and boston are resting their starters in the 4th, ours are having to grind out games against the bobcats. i think starting off steve with 8 or 10 mins a game to see if we can deepen our bench is a good idea.
Exactly. This team's main problem is playing w/o heart. We saw it in the playoffs last season and we've already seen it this season. Francis plays with pure heart(like Sura), and it would be contagious if he were ever given a chance to freakin' play a few minutes. Adelman is wasting precious time to let that process begin taking shape.
