If we took your "its all good" glasses, you will notice that we did this despite our pg's play

Quoted by Adelman: ""The team's identity defensively is something I don't want to lose," Adelman said. "There are too many guys here, Chuck Hayes, Shane Battier, Rafer Alston who are very comfortable and smart defensively."

    obviously Adelman disagrees with you

umm who, the same Adelman that said he expected Francis to be his starter when the season started. I expect if he can be wrong once, then why not twice

Building assets makes perfect sense. Especially at potentially bargain prices.

Making an investment in something (in this case a relatively minor one) does not mean you use it just because you made an investment. That is devoid of common sense. Sometimes investments don't work out. So you mitigate your losses and go another direction (see NY or Portland). The more efficient and productive route is what you use. That makes sense.

How do you know the investment is not working when you haven't taken it for a ride

Wrong. When you pass the ball into Yao at the post, and Yao does a post move, there is normally no credit for an assist. Rafer is also an excellent ball handler and, more so than Francis, understands his role on this team.

    Keep trying.

Funny, I said the same thing for JVG last year when people were hating JVG for playing Skip major minutes and not playing V-Span.

I guess what you are trying to tell me is that Rafer is the glue that holds this team, without Rafer, who knows, maybe we would have been 2-4. SURE!!!!

alright keep hoping and praying that rafer will be benched for francis. your only setting yourself up for severe dissapointment, just like francis has been so far.

That's what the pre-season is for. To determine which "ride" will give you the best chance to win. Rafer won. Deal with it. If he becomes the liability all of you claim he is, Aldleman will make the right call. But only if he has a better option. Is that Francis? We'll see if the right situation arises, but right now, that's not the case. Rafer does what he is supposed to. Will Francis?

I'm quite sure that Rafer will disappoint again tonight, I only hope that it does not cost us the game, and don't worry, I will accept your SINCERE apology when Rafer is benched for a better pg (not necessarily Francis)

Then I assume you know that Skip was our best and ONLY usable PG last year. The debate and discussion with V-Span can be found on another thread.

JVG sucks with personal relationships with players, Adelman isn't. Let's hope so anyway.

Attempting to put words in my mouth. Cute.

I am telling you that Rafer understands his role on this team a its point guard. He also understands his relationship playing with Yao and T-Mac.

I try to avoid silly cliches like "the glue that holds the team together". Too simple and naive.

Whatever that means. The spirit of Elvis lives in all who love to rock and roll, and that includes me. And I think you mean delusional, not disillusioned.

I am, however, disillusioned at the prospect of Francis being a major contributor to this basketball team.
