and the 'best offensive player in the game' / MVP typically doesnt go 0-22...
and one of the highest offensive efficiency teams of all time doesn't typically go 0-27...

    it is what it is...
    **** happens...

Exactly. It's called a cherry picked stat, and the idiots love them.

how many times do these anti-ariza threads pop up?

since he got here, he's been asked to do too much and morey has tried to ease his workload and he did a good job of that this season. but ryan and mbah got injured so ariza had to do more again. not his fault. he still did a good job

u want him to stop shooting borderline %'s? then easehis workload. he's not otto porter. he's been an old overworkd vet for a few years now.

I tried to be away from these stupid threads, but this one wins the trophy. Ariza was phenomenal on D througout the series, nothing short of that. Just seeing him letting it all on the defensive side was proud worthy as a fan. Someone who can't value that don't deserve this team. Yes, he was trash on offense in the decisive game seven, but don't fool yourself, there wouldn't be a game seven without Ariza.

I want him back, hopefully he'll give us a break. Him and CP3 will probably negotiate their next salaries together. Both want to stay and win it all next year, they know they need each other and the franchise cannot afford to pay market value for both. It's another thing to blame Durant for, it's really unfair to criticize our guys (being a fan of any other team, I mean) if they come back at a discount. Little beach KD is the one to blame, how are we suppose to act if the biggest rival is doing that? CP3 being the head of NBPA shouldn't matter, he's not a young franchise player giving a discount to run and play for the best team. Anyone saying he'd be setting the wrong standard is wrong, IMO.

That said, I love Ariza. He'll be back and I'll be cheering for him.

I want ariza back but definitely think he needs to play fewer minutes and not get a big pay raise

Idk I think Ariza would be a great bench player for us. Playing less minutes so he’s fresher.

This would be the case if we acquired Paul Goerge or Lebron James anyway.

I think we could get better production out of him this way

Ariza was put on KD/Curry the entire series. He was completely exhausted in the 1st half of game 7. Being that tired affected his shot. He'll say he's not tired and can play 40min/night but truthfully, he's just not that young anymore.

I'm fine with re-signing him to a cheap role players salary but he needs help guarding the other team's best players. Luc would've been perfect to take some minutes off Ariza but it seems ever since those 2 shoulder injuries, his time to retire is soon.

It's fine to value him as a player, but don't call him a "Great 3" guy- he's not. Only an idiot thinks he can use any adjective he wants in describing a player you like.

What a ridiculous thread. Ariza is still a very productive player who is important to the team. I'd love to have him back even if we get LeBron.

Lol go ahead denigrate him, but you or anyone else saying dumb things in this thread should know how valuable he is to this team.

He would be a great guy off the bench, around 20 mins or so. If anything was apparent during the season, he played amazing when he wasn't being asked to play 35+ minutes every game. You could tell in the WCF that he had dead legs.

I want Ariza here. I love him and the way he plays. Yea he's streaky and sometimes looks terrible but he is a good player. He would be great in a bench role at this point of his career.

You don't get rid of the guy that was one of the main reasons that CP3 came. And unlike Bobby Brown, Ariza can provide more things than just a friendship. As many have said, he was about our best chance of slowing down the pseudo-tough Durant.

The REAL question is can you replace Ariza? If so, with who? The Rockets have to get younger and keeping Ariza is not it
