NO , I like Ariza …. believe they resign him. Cant get a better player with the assets they have if they are going after a big fish.

Ariza is also one of the first things other players mention when talking about why they want to play here.

You're the only one. Well you and anyone else who might have mental limitations.

Speaking objectively, while his defense is getting worse but he's still a great 3 and D guy. Of course, a number of fools might point to his Game 7 performance (and of course they will do so to speak to his shooting) but truth be told we are a rudderless ship against Durant if Ariza isn't out there. What really "exposed" Ariza was the injury to Luc. Had Luc been 100% it would have been a much different story. Also, comparatively to what the Chandler Parsons of the World are getting he's a steal for what he puts out there. If anything, you should say the Rockets lack of injury luck needs to go into retirement, but that's harder to fire. Oh wait, now some a-hole is going to tell me Keith Jones is the problem.

Clutchfans, where you're only as good as your last game.

    Ariza for 20-25 minutes, good.

Ariza for 40+ minutes, bad, very bad.

    Always has been the case.

Unfortunately, with Luc injured, and a shortened rotation, our starters had to play 40+ minutes during the Warriors series, and Ariza was running on fumes.

One thing I will say for Ariza, he cares about this team and he took that loss as hard as any of us did.

Ariza played as well as he could imo. I really enjoyed his second stint with the Rockets. Hes like an anchor on defense.

But as people said Luc getting injured hurt Ariza too. Because only he could guard Durant

Ariza is completely fine when you don't overwork him. 0-12 and 0-9 from 3 in Game 7 is the direct result of overplaying him.

This is where it really stung to not have Mbah a Moute. Hopefully next year we add one or two more 3&D wings.

I just hope Paul George chooses the Rockets, Trevor Ariza decides to resign for minimum to play off the bench, add depth to rotation.

That post game interview after game 7 shows you how much heart he has. Irreplaceable presence on this team. Sincerely hope we keep him around and he retires a Rocket...after a couple more seasons.

Is there a chance he retires a Rocket?

He’s one of CP3’s closest homies. Bet nobody not even Trevor could’ve imagined he’d be a part of a major TV commercial (stole the show in that btw) in his lifetime until CP3 came.

He’s turning 33 soon which isn’t terribly old but he’s a 14 year vet now and the last 10 years have been really taxing with heavy minutes and picking up the best wing on opposing teams every night. He’s won a ring, made good money and this one time... he even got to be featured as The number 1 option for a large portion of the season on some team.

He was a second rounder that got drafted on athleticism and potential and fulfilled it with hard work. If he calls it quits tomorrow he’s had a good run. He’s not done though. I think he’ll be cool with taking the min deal for 2 years guaranteed maybe with an option for 3rd. As others have mentioned if we can keep his minutes under 25 a game and bring him off the bench that would be awesome for a couple different reasons.

I have looked it up, he was only 2 years with the Lakers and won that ring, that is some efficiency.
