I will support Yao Ming and Luis Scola. I will support Aaron Brooks, Trevor Ariza and Shane Battier. I will support Landry, Lowry, Budinger, Taylor, Mensah-Bonsu, Andersen, Dorsey, White, Hayes, Barry and mutha-****in' Cook. But I will not support Tracy McGrady. The sooner he stops wearing the red and white, the better.
I think except for a few (we all know their names) everyone hopes T-mac does well and of course we support the guy. We don't need this thread. I'm glad he's a Houston Rocket and I hope he has a great season and comes back. If not, his arse will be gone. It's really simple....there simply is no reason not to support him unless you don't like the guy (again, I won't mention names)...but personal hate aside, yeah, we all support him.
I won't call him 'soft' now as others do but I meant 'toughness' as a leader. If you are questioned by your team mates, don't go to Les and act like a cry baby. just kidding Never mind. Hope he can grow into a veteran leader for this young team, won't throw his team mates under the bus facing the media, talk less and stay faithful to his CleRenda. Don't get me wrong. I like this guy and his alter persona Tmac but we as fans are entitled to criticism also. I hope he returns in God Mode as Grover has predicted though.
Why would I support a player that deserves to lose? T-Mac is a great guy off the court, worthless pile of dirt on the court, some of you need to get over his Prime days.
Right on. Without T-Mac, the best we could hope for would be to field a pretty good team that maybe could make the playoffs if everything worked out right. With T-Mac, the Rockets are right back in the thick of things. What's not to like? Go Rockets.
Sarcasm? Landry finishes inside with authority regularly. Lowry drives to the basket without fear regularly. McGrady? He pulls up for 20-foot contested jump shots regularly.
I don´t like him, never did, always saw him as a player very focused on getting his stats, never saw a single bit of teamwork in him, and the "Iverson like" actitude he took when Adelman came here and tried to reduce his shots actually made me dislike him. Then the series of false actitudes he had were no surprise for me, he needed his teammates to play half a championship alone to show him the system was good, he let them down last year to prevent a trade to a ****ty team. Support him all you want, i am tired of his excuses. The better value we got from him, the better chance we have, so i support that.
No, he is a cancer, without him we can repeat what we did last year, i dare to say that without Yao we can repeat what we did last year. If you insert T-Mac in that team, the team will be dysfunctional. I bet his first excuse when we start loosing with him on court will be "i needed a lot of shots to get back into rythm". After a X for 25 night. (x being less than 10)
Like DaDa said, if it's for the good of the team, then it's what I want. TMac coming back and playing like TMac can could do wonders for this team. I am very excited for him to come back, and I'm glad he is working so hard for it.
I agree that it will be nice when TMac or all the injury excuses are gone. I have been utterly amazed at how inundated the GARM front page is with TMac arguments right now... I don't think it will ever end. It's just the same points and counterpoints every 3 days. Every time a new member pops up they think they bring a fresh new opinion, so they start the argument all over again. I think I am going to go nuts reading the GARM before preseason starts.
Can't disagree with that, T-Mac is kind of like Dominique Wilkins in the all-time rankings list. Both those guys you constantly put in hypothetically situations because they haven't done anything in their career. They were flashy players that could do anything but win, That's just the cold bitter truth for you T-Mac Apologists. T-Mac is just not a winner, plain and simple.
This may be labeled as an excuse, but McGrady's job is also to spread the floor. A good jump shot can keep the defense honest. Last year he was a pansy but he does mix it up now and again.
you think going to the basket is always the easiest shot. I dont know if you noticed but t-mac was kinda hurt last year, so i dont see how he could have drove to the basket as often as he would have liked to.
Please, dont put T-Wac in the same sentence with Wilkins. Dominique got his team out of the first round many years but just couldnt beat Boston because they were in their heyday. Wilkins played with intensity that was only surpassed by Jordan T-Wac has complained, stayed injured, quit, and never got out of the first round despite playing with the top center in the league. Please.
Pretty much, but my comparison was more so because of the fact that you have to constantly put him in a better position to think he would win, but that's still false. T-Mac reminds me more so of his cousin though, which also reminds me of Dominique. Both Carter and Nique are EASILY better though.
