See, this is the kind of thing I was talking about. You're not directly saying Rockets fans shouldn't like or support McGrady, but you're very much implicitly saying it. Just because I don't think McGrady is to blame for the Rockets lack of success lately doesn't mean I think he's perfect and untouchable. I already said he has problems. Sometimes he seems to get a little lazy, and he's obviously an injury risk right now (or he just got through with a streak of incredibly bad luck), but he's still a great player who's capable of making this team way better if he can get that body of his stable. And as long as he's with the team, we should want to see that happen. I think it's stupid to root for him to fail, or even to be traded just because you don't like him (maybe you're not doing that specifically, but I know a lot of people are). Even trading him just because you think he's worn out his welcome isn't a good idea, and I think even Morey sees that, which is why McGrady is still with the team. Those teams who trade superstars just because they got sick of not-quite-getting-over-the-hump with them rarely seem to see any real improvements for a very long time. It seems you're almost always better off just letting their flame die out with the team then forcing an early rebuild. If a good trade is on the table that will improve us right now, then yeah, take it. I'd be sad to see him go, but how can you turn down a good trade? Also, if things don't work out this year, then just let him walk as an FA. Otherwise, he's still in the period of his career that has historically been some of the most productive in terms of playoff success for NBA stars. We have so many options with McGrady right now, why would anyone want to get rid of him? The fact that we haven't won with him in the past is not a good reason, because it's even less likely that we'll win without him unless we find a good trade. ... I don't know how well I articulated what I was trying to say here (my post ended up a little long winded), but hopefully you get the idea. My point is that McGrady is our best chance to win right now, so I'm behind him. I mean this team (with a less experienced Scola, Landry, and Brooks, and no Lowry) went something like 19-6 after Yao's injury at the end of the 07-08 season. I still believe that there's a chance for a world-shocking run with Yao returning late in the season, too... Miracles happen once in a while.
t-mac just posted some more pics of him on skillzlab.com. I dont want to be over optimistic, but i can agree that he looks a whole lot better than i ever saw him of last year

Sorry Tracy lovers, but I only support seeing Tracy playing in some other city. I've had my fill, anymore and I'll crap myself.
