Well, ****. I guess I'm trying to take too much from the refs. Although, I was watching through a web stream and even I can clearly see the goal tend.
I went to bed during the third quarter because of how bad we were playing. I'll blame the refs when I feel it's deserved, but not this time.
The rockets got a 10 point lead mid way through the 2nd quarter and then decided to score like 8 points the rest the half. You just can’t have lulls like that. That’s one thing that having harden back will surely help. James Does not let us go on 5 min scoring droughts. That was the game imo. The defense was actually playing well up until that point. It was 44-34 with 7 min and some change to go in the 2nd. Rockets had already forced 8 TOs, we only had 3. Then after that we coughed the ball up 5 times in a 5 min stretch and allowed them to score 10 straight points and even the game out. I can’t stress how much having harden back will change everything or this team on both sides in a big positive. This team will look much different Thursday or Saturday when the beard is back. I expect these little 6-10 point leads we get every game to reach closer to 20 with harden he’s that big of a difference maker. Then it’s much easier to weather ge storm teams make. If you look at our winning streak and even before that when we won 6/7 with just harden playing. The rockets were having 1 quartet a game were they won it by 15+. The rest of the 3 quarters it was even or slightly in our favor and then the 4th would be in the opponents favor. It’s not like they team needs to win every quarter. That would be nice but it’s unrealistic.
