It's pretty crazy that James has actually become the best player in basketball

Yep, I was basically sold after that. He looked like he had just been waiting for his opportunity to be the main guy and he has made the most of it ever since. He still continues to impress me with how much he is committed to winning and being a better leader. James deserves all the accolades because he has worked for it, now just time to get that ring.

 

Sounds like a guy who flamed the Harden trade.

 

I am just waiting for the writer or talking head who takes the time to break down how much winning we have with the rosters we have had since Harden has been here.

the fact that we have been to the the WCF twice with an aging Paul and a injured Howard as his 2nd best players on separate teams should speak volumes to his value as a player.

What player has done more with less over these 5 years?

I think it's arguable that his biggest improvement this year has been on defense.

He has always been a solid post defender due to his strength.... but this year he is downright disruptive and creates turnovers like crazy with his hands .

It's partly his overal boost to conditioning that has allowed his to do it

 

I remember on another site and was talking crap to OKC fans that I thought Harden would become the best player in the league one day and I had to backtrack somewhat when some of the fans made lists with Lebron, KD, etc. I stuck to my guns and said a definite top 3 eventually but should have stayed at the best. He actually came here and became the best. After watching since the Malone days and then Hakeem I never expected us to have again a player as great as he has become but here we are. I am going to watch every game I can that he plays and enjoy this ride because I doubt I will live long enough to have this chance again. The Hall of Fame will be fun to watch.

 

This statement is insane when you think about it. Harden is a G O D.

without that trade, is it possible that rockets could have the third championship already or in a much better position for it? you never know what you missed.

 

He's one ring and finals MVP away from being labeled as the 3rd best SG of all time in most people's eyes.
