I have to disagree with this comment. He was playing his ass off on defense. And he seemed like the only interested in defending the other team. If only he was blessed with a little more athletic ability.... It's a cruel world!

As some have said, Yao and Tmac contributed 69 pts. All we need is another 40++ points from others but we can't. The other starters namely Battier, Rafer
and Hayes only got us 11 pts. I cannot foresee how we can win a lot games.

Our bench only contributed 19 pts. We need the other 3 starters contributed at least 20 pts or more. Someone may say the other 3 are not in court to score
but the reality is it is difficult to win any games with 69+11 = 80 pts and your bench having the same mentality (not in court to score).

If you can't defend well then you got to outscore them.
NOW EVERYONE GET TO YOUR SHOOTING PRACTICE.

Yeah but the point is not his defense. The reason I said retire is cuz at times on offense he just gives up. Yeah he can defend, it's not enough man. The actually point is yao and mac can only score so much. And an even bigger point is Rick Adelman is trying to make JVG's guys work in his system. This is not gonna happen, we need shooters around yao and mac. And our role players simply can't shoot, it is what it is. I'm not hatin on Battier just bein realistic. After 18 games can we really believe that ALL of our role players are simply goin through a slump? And do we have the luxury to wait and see if they snap out of it?

Yep. Almost as painful as being an Astros fan but believe me not nearly as painful as being a CAL fan.. :(

MAnn....it is pretty painful...and we do expect alot out the rockets.. we have a good squad...dont get that wrong..but the playerss around us have to know that.... if they hit their shots..we win...if they dont...we lose... soo that sayin wenn ppl say "the rockets will go far as tmac and yao will take them".. that is completely false... we will go far as our other players..that are not named tmac or yao.... take us..... sooo thats that.... ITS TIME....isnt it?

I don't know how anyone could have high expectations for this team the past three years. Did any of you honestly think we were better than Dallas, Phoenix or San Antonio? If you thought we were then you're a wishful homer. We always were the worst team in Texas and I always expected a 4th or 5th seed. This season I predicted us to struggle from the gate. In pre-season I still didn't think we were better than the big three, and that's become more evident now. I don't want to hear any more of, "we get no respect from the media/tnt hates us!". How do we get respect when its a first round exit year after year?

oh btw, Yao's limitations are holding this team back.

Last night summed it up. Cal loses Big Game to crappy Stanford and the Rox lose to the crappy Kings.

We are 9-9, 18 games into the season, we were 6-11 in the beginning of the 04-05 season, there are 64 games left to play shiet.
