Awesome. Here is a post of basso claiming he doesn't really read the freeper stuff. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=5192040&postcount=30 Here's the thread in question. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=183921&page=1&pp=20 Here is the original citation busting basso, and it comes the freeper site which basso claims he doesn't read. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=5191763&postcount=11 For someone who doesn't read the freeper site he sure gets a lot of information from there. Before he falsely claimed it came from NEJM, and in this thread basso left out the link all together.
Except, of course, for the thousands of "working people" that would get fired in order to balance the budget. But hey, let's not worry about them. What's more important is that Obama's union buddies get to keep their sweetheart deal.
In a democracy, there are such things as freedom of speech and freedom of assembly. Not even public employees are exempt from that. Shut up already.

Given that the union already agreed to ALL the financial cuts the Governor proposed, what specific sweetheart deal are you referring to?
I do think Egyptians who are seeking to re-empower the trade union movement to bargain for more rights would be in solidarity with Wisconsin, if only because Mubarak's Egypt was a perfect representation of what corruption and disenfranchisement could happen when the state co-opted worker's movements.
No, if the gov. didn't drop taxes he wouldn't have to fire people to balance the budget. Please brush up on the facts, the Unions have already agreed to pay into their benefits. They have agreed to compromise on their "sweetheart deal". The problem is the governor won't stop until get cuts out their bargaining power. As far as the so-called sweetheart deal, it is something that was negotiated and agreed to. These unions didn't steal from anyone, the bargained and struck a deal. That's how it works. Because you don't like their deal doesn't change the fact that it was arrived at with input from both sides. In addition many state employees work at less than market salary for the work they do in order to receive better than average deals on benefits. If you'd rather up all of their salaries and then charge them the same for benefits that would probably be acceptable to, but would cost the govt. a lot more money.
Is it time for the "everything you say bounces off me and sticks to you" rejoinder? On a side not, basso didn't say it, "Klein" did. Very funny stuff, though.
Disgraced Former Tea Party Leader Calls On Right-Wing Activists To Pose As SEIU Organizers National tea party groups like Americans for Prosperity have been bussing conservative activists to Madison, WI to confront protesters there standing up to Gov. Scott Walker’s (R) union busting. But Tea Party Nation and Mark Williams, the disgraced former chairman of Tea Party Express, who was forced to resign after making offensive racial comments, are calling for a more radical approach. In an email alert to supporters sent last night, Tea Party Nation promotes Williams’ “great idea” to impersonate SEIU organizers at upcoming labor rallies in an attempt to embarrass and discredit the union. Williams lays out a highly dishonest and fairly involved scheme to have “plants” sign up on the SEIU website to be organizers for an upcoming rally, dress up in SEIU shirts, and to then make outrageous comments to reporters covering the events in order to “make the gathering look as greedy and goonish as we know that it is”:
