Let me get this straight...so his offense is better than Kemp because he averages more points a game this year in 35 games than Kemp at his prime for the season?

Don't get me wrong he's improved his outside shot but he's still got ways to go. If his outside game is that much improved, how come he didn't shoot more than once or twice over Yao from the outside? Judging from the 6-7 games I've seen him play and his highlights, he doesn't shoot much at all from there and the times he shoots he does not make them enough to be considered good in my eyes.

Did you really watch the game against the Suns? I seem to remember that we got into a shooting match with them running and gunning since the late 3rd quarter.

And I also remember that there was some heated discussion about the possibility that we MIGHT HAVE WON the game if we had pounded the ball inside a little bit more. Yao only got 7 shots from his teammates (4 from offensive boards) and that equals to pound the ball inside all night.

    LOL!

    Amare's a good player.

    I like D. Wade better.

If Amare could stop expending all his energy on offense, play better defense and rebound. Then he's the next KG without the passing.

That's because he is worried Yao will block his shots even without jump.

Can you sincerely tell me you saw Kemp play between 1992 and 1998 or thereabout? I doubt it.

Now if only Yao could stop getting his ass handed to him in a hat by the likes of the Bucks. I wonder what Zaza Pachulia is saying right now:

"It's official: I'm one of about 16 backup centers who can hold Yao to 3 rebounds or less"

He only averaged 20.5 pts once, and around 18.7 pts most of
years. He may be flashy, but Amare has way more offensive
    production.

he still reminds me of McDeyss' game. If Dice had a guy like Nash getting the ball to him, he would have put up near 30 a game also

Heat lost the game in a very similary way that rockets did a few days ago:

-they didn't go to shaq enough
-they didn't attack the interior defense of sun enough
-their role players can't hit open shot
-their 3 pointer didn't fall in
-Turnovers leading to fast break of sun (wade is horrible in TO last night)

The Suns were not that hot last night from 3s. If they had shot that kind of percentage against us, we would have won.

Yao took Amare to school with that power move drop step dunk. Amare had no power to stop Yao on one on one match with Yao. Yao could just push him over. Amare needs help on Yao.

On the other hand, Amare has to put the ball on the floor in order to beat Yao. He cant shoot over Yao, his mid range jumper is limited, he cant move Yao either, so his only weapon is to put ball on the floor. As long as Yao is around him not get fouls, it's going to be tough on him.

Well, ZaZa needs to do it at least twice before he can say that.

Amare might just have a bad game. His mid range shot is really improved. Next time it can be different. Too bad Yao has too many commitment in summer time to make that kind of improvement.

I think Kemp is stronger and taller.

Kemp was always listed as 6'9" and Amare I believe is listed at 6'10". Not much difference. They're both explosive as hell. Once they decide to jump - forget it, don't even bother challenging.

See this is why I like soccer. You can put a 100 meter sprinter on the field, but he wont do any good to your team. Basketball and Football sometimes let a player's physical ability to take over the game not skill.

I think that as long as Amare plays the center position in the NBA really tall centers like Yao Ming will give him problems. It's similar to the way freakishly tall centers like Mark Eaton used to give Olajuwon problems. Like Olajuwon, Amare's quickness is nullified by taller centers because they don't go for his fakes and just stand with their arms up.
