Malone is hurt, I thought George might be hurt we'll see, Fisher is banged up, and Fox injured his finger so the Lakers are banged up. I don't buy into this talk of Yao being tired playing Shaq so he'll wear down, Van Gundy will simply rotate Cato on Shaq definitely.

You may very well be right, but we're just lambs to the slaughter to the Kings. They handled us in every game this year (and I believe last year also, for that matter), but the Rockets tend to step it up and put it into another gear against the Lakers. I don't honestly see the Rockets winning the series, but I do see it being very competitive and not just an ass-whupping.

Kobe has two good games and "suddenly" he's an unstoppable monster? My God. Have you watched the NBA much the past, oh, 5 seasons or so? If you currently had to pick ONE man in the entire world to take a potential game-winning shot, is there even an argument who that would be?

So every game the Rockets play against the Lakers will be Kobe scoring 40 or a last second shot? My point is that people are acting like Kobe Bryant is going to single-handedly beat the Rockets. The Lakers have struggled lately, Kobe has struggled saves for this last few games. I've watched the NBA the last 5 season and this isn't the same Lakers team. They're good, but not the same team.

Rockets won in the #6 seed.

Defeated the #3, the #2, and #1 seeds in order to reach the finals.

    This year, we'd face

    #2, #3, #1.

    OH MOTHERRRRR!!!!!!!

It's David Stern's dream series. It's ESPN's dream series. It's the fans' dream series.

And maybe, just maybe, it has been Jeff Van Gundy's dream series all along.

Bring on the Lakers. We are certainly not scared of them at all. The key in the series will be Karla Malone. If he's out or not 100%, we'll have a great shot against the FakeShow.

It's not about running when you guard/shot against Shaq. It's about pushing and fighting for positions. I 'm sorry but if you fight a 350lb monster for 40 minutes a night, you will get exhausted pretty soon.

Just hope Yao survive and emerge from this kind of brutel test and start his journey of being truely great. It is good for Yao's developement but bad for Rockets playoff this year.

But, if you look at the actual records, we're playing #3... then #2 then #1 (San Antonio was better than the Lakers this year).

I'll take all the karma I can get... now all we need is to win one of two in LA.

And, if you remember back in 95, the Rockets LOST the first game of the playoffs that year to Utah... and blew them out in game 2.

If that happens... anything can happen.

Karl Malone has a severe ankle injury (that's the report right now), and George has a strained calf, and an injured calf is a bit of a problem.

Yao probably isn't going to guard Shaq for 40 minutes. They'll probably rotate Cato and some other big guys on Shaq with Yao occasionally guarding him. This is the type of game where the Rockets bench can play dividends. Pike, MJax, Mo, Padgett or Nachbar if they're on the roster and Weatherspoon could make some serious contributions. Jimmy Jackson is a wild card as well since he is scorching hot right now.

    It's dramatic.It's Yao's fate that God arranged.
Now the fans will touch their climax. The media will be mad about it.The NBA is boiled.David is happy. And I'm going crazy!!!
