He wanted a 4th year player option and the Rockets didn't want to give it to him. That is why he is with Phoenix.

    1. Oh God please no. Let this be wrong.

    2. We're told we made the same sort of offer to Dragic and Lin. We're told Houston wasn't in the same ballpark as other offers Dragic was getting. Dragic accepted a $30m/4yr contract, which is more or less the same as this one. This doesn't square at all. So, either the amount here is reported wrong, we offered Dragic much less, we initially offered Lin much less and then upped the amount, or Dragic didn't want to come back for reasons other than money despite assertions to the contrary.

    3. At this number it's a terrible contract for us. I could stomach it for Dragic, not Lin.

    4. It makes me think Dragic left because of the status of the starting position, not the money. Which makes not trading Lowry by the end of draft night that much bigger a failure.

    5. Last season was the worst for me ever as a fan, entering the season mediocre and without hope. I think it has somehow gotten worse in the offseason. Now heading toward being bad, without hope, and with a shaken confidence in the wisdom of management.

So....................................if we trade lowry, lin is going to be our starter?

If that's the case, then we're in full tank mode.

    Another false alarm.

Please use the word "official" judiciously.

What have they actually offered Lin? Last I heard was this:

Adrian Wojnarowski: Jeremy Lin and the Rockets still discussing parameters of an offer sheet, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Even if he was after more money he will go to new york, he will make more through endorsements in new york then he would in houston, its sad but true , we can back load that contract all we want and new york will just remind him his career will die in houston's mediocrity

agreed. SMH @ our fans ALREADY talking about next year when this year hasn't even started. I'm a morey supporter but I'm not defending the price we're paying for asik and I'm not defending signing Lin...

Again Lin might not be Dragic, but he is going to put Houston on the damn map again. Finally making this city somewhat relevant...........

    No.

The Knicks could only offer 4yr/20Mil to Lin.

Ric Bucher was just on SportsCenter and there was no update of a signing. He threw out the notion of Lin may not wanting to be in the spotlight of New York.
