There is no logical error within the content of his argument. The logical error was made when his argument was used as a response to another poster's proclamation of admiration for Yao.

And no. Please don't give me props.

his response was logical, educational, and inspirational. he acknowledge the poster's point of view and then mentioned some examples of others who took a riskier path to social contribution.

also read his church analysis where bigez mentions his own work and says it still doesn't compare to what others have done.

no props for you. I'll give props to Clutch then!

dream has only averaged 2.8 points more than yao in his career....thats not even a 3 pointers worth......so what else can we argue.....Yao is more thamn a man than Dream because he plays man ball and doesn't take 3 pointers......nice response with the illegal D and kemp....you making excuses for your boy when the truth emerges.......

Who was more hard Dream or kemp?

    Kemp or Dream? 6:14 mark
I'll go with DEFENSIVE PLAYER of the YEAR Hakeem the Dream!

    lol. hilarious!

don't think you'll lose your rookie status soon.

Sure kemp can shoot 3s cause Dream plays in the post, but any real Rockets fan knows that Kemp isn't Dreams man.

    However, Okur is Yao's guy!

BigEZ is a knowledgeable poster who rightfully represents the Rockets and I respect him, but IT'S NOT LIKE he's Clutch. Clutch built this website, and dedicates hundreds of hours to updating and maintaining Clutchfans.net. Instead of allowing certain limitations to keep him contributing more, BigEZ should start up another, albeit non-overlapping Houston Rockets website.

tinman, where is the upgrade of my status you've mentioned? (j/k)

yes, it is result-oriented a lot of times. but if we applied the same standard, then a lot of great players would have to carry that label, too.

hows that pillow taste...better in prison? keep biting.

kemp shoots 3's where did that come from? cell block reach?

    kemp 6-10
dream...we will give him 7 foot
    Yao.....7'6

Why can Kemp do more than Dream at only a debatable 2 inches shorter, Dream 6'10?, but Yao is expected to do more than Dream at a good 6-7 inches taller?

So Dream would not have been as good at 7'6?
    3 points in a playoff game...how is that possible.......i'll tell you....KEMP.

I really like this site. Its probably my favorite spot because the rox are my favorite team. They don't pay my $10k weekly diesel bill, so maybe my passion may not be the same. I think although popularity of the site have gone up, the quality has suffered because of posters who follow the rox for 1 reason, #11. I'm not saying that's a bd reason, I just view most as renters. The pre-#11 crowd will always be here. We used to have open conversations about every player without people getting offended. DD and I have disagreed on subjects just like Gater and I, but we still have good conversation. Until we take the sensitivity away, then the site will suffer.

The pre- Sleepy Floyd fans are amongst the loyalest fans.
They survived the dismemberment of the Wiggins/Lloyd/Sampson team.

Those guys, man what great fans! :D

you tell me how the sandwiches taste.....you know I'm not paying your dental bill.....you're the one that keeps tasting the special sauce....the knowledge between two buns.....supersize that Huntsville patty?

"REIGN, REIGN ON ME, REIGN ON ME" playing loudly

Dream wakes up in a sweat "I had a nightmare....Kemp's babies were dunking on me too?" "I'm scared, call Yao..... he can build a wall to keep them out."

"OH wait, yao is in china playing for his country in the olympics."

"playing for his own country? What a concept! I bet he's going to score more than 3 pts, don't you think? wait....who am I talking to?"

Reignman turns over......"Go to sleep Dream or I'll give you another NIGHTMARE!"

"Yao, the first overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft, watched Shaquille O'Neal making chop-socky sounds on TV to mimic Yao's language. Charles Barkley said Yao would never score 19 points in a single game. The pressure to perform on a stage only two of his countrymen (Mengke Bateer and Wang Zhizhi) had ever seen before was as big as the man himself. Yao has delivered both points (he's averaged 19 points per game over his entire NBA career) and diplomacy, class and dignity. He has become a great teammate and a great humanitarian."

This thread is supposed to be about Yao Ming and how great of an ambassador he has been for the game of basketball and especially his country, not to mention his humanitarian efforts. Yao has defied odds his entire career as a professional ball player. People need to stop hating and start appreciating Yao for who he is as a player and what he brings to this team, and especially for who he is, a great person. Read the damn article people and stop hating! Rockets fans are just spoiled sometimes.

Thank you. I've been waiting for somebody to say that out loud. Now I heard one.

I have following suggestions for you:

    1. announce that someone can only be a member here once he meets tinman's standard.

    or

    2. make a rule that anyone who doesn't speak native English, doesn't have rich knowledge about Rockets history, doesn't think Dream is a bball god, doesn't have other favorite player not named Yao, should just shut up and listen to what other 'quality posters' say.

    or

    3. don't visit this site anymore until Yao gets traded.

Otherwise, I'm sorry dude, you have to "suffer".

Last I check, internet forum is a land of free, just like the country in which it was born. Maybe I was wrong, for both.
